My Requirements

After-school nanny required - £20 per hour, at least 28 hours per month, with additional hours offered

We are a family of professional musicians, seeking an energetic and young-minded after-school nanny to come and work with our family in Crouch Hill (N4). The nanny must be a driver and dog lover with an energetic personality and sunny disposition. Both parents work full-time, our two daughters (13 and 10) attend school nearby.

The job guarantees at least 28 hours per month (£560), with additional working days available. The hours are always weekdays 3pm - 7pm, and we will specify which dates the nanny will be required to work, giving at least 28 days advance notice. Hopefully, this is a flexible arrangement for both us and the nanny, as we can work around the nanny’s other diary commitments, as long as they have good general availability to work. The nanny will never be required to work weekends, or after 7pm.

The daily routine will be:

3:00pm - Start – arrive at house, check for any daily instructions etc. Pick up our small dog, kit and healthy snacks. Drive to Highgate and park near the school
3:40pm - pick up children from the school in Highgate, walking the dog briefly.
4:00pm - return home with the children, sometimes via various after-school clubs or music lessons locally
7:00pm - Finish (Mum or Dad returns home)

As the school run is a major part of this job, we would prefer to employ a driver. Nanny can use their own car or ours, it is only a short drive to school from our house (1.5miles). The nanny will not be required to do much housekeeping, however tidy habits would be greatly appreciated! We will expect nanny to help the children to keep their bedrooms in good order, and help them sort their clothes into the laundry bins etc.

We are located on Mount View Road, Crouch Hill (N44JR) 250m from Harringay Rail and easily accessible from Finsbury Park. We will only consider applicants who are very local to us so please only apply if you live in N4, N5, N7, N19, N8, N15, N16. Parking is available at our house.

Payment is made monthly. Start is early October but we are flexible. Fluent English and childcare experience essential. Please get in touch if you think you are the right person. You must send a CV or personal statement and a headshot helps.
