My name is Aly and I'm a childminder and babysitter living in Eastville. I am a mother of two lovely children, aged 7 and 5 years. I am a local artist in Bristol, creativity is a large part of my life. I often use my artistic skills in my work, using art, music and dance to help people express them selves. Learning about play therapy has also given me a greater understanding of how to interact. I love to explore the natural world and feel its important for children to learn through nature, wildlife and environments. I've always loved working with children, having a young family myself has helped my understanding grow.
My Requirements
I am experienced in working with all children in the community, I have supported children with autism, downs syndrome and other additional needs. I feel it is vital for people with learning difficulties to be able to integrate into the community
I led work on social and emotional support, and helped children with anxiety and low self of esteem. I helped children emotionally, connecting and guiding through their individual needs and struggles.
I have been trained in Makaton (level 4), PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), play therapy, Manual handling, Hygiene, safeguarding, PBM (positive behaviour management), visual commutation and I have a first aid certificate.
I can easily adapt to any situation in a calm and positive approach. I am able to communicate with parents well, and fully aware of the importance of understanding the child’s social background.
I deal with challenging situations in a calm and confident way; I’m very responsible and organised. I am a motivated person and have always worked well managing my time. I have always been hard worker and this comes through in my work.
