About Me
**UPDATE PLEASE READ: I am now fully booked for childcare during term time and the holidays. I can only do occasional evening babysitting on weekdays or Saturday depending on the needs of my clients.
Hi my name is Priscilla. I am an Ofsted Registered Nanny.
I work as a midday assistant at a primary school. I do not drive, therefore any jobs must be accessible by public transport.
I have got a lot of experience with children of primary school age. I also have experience with toddlers but I do not have a lot of experience with babies. I also have a little experience with autism.
I can help children with homework, do housework, cook meals, play games and do activities with the children.
I am comfortable around dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils (but not mice, rats or snakes). I am also happy to look after pets and take dogs for walks.
I will try to make sure that the children are not spending too much time in front of a screen and will try to engage them in more stimulating activities.
Safeguarding of children is my number one priority and I will make sure that any concerns that I have are handled appropriately.
I use time outs to allow a child to think about their behaviour. It will be for one minute per year of age. However if parents have another method in place then I will use that.
I have taken a paediatric first aid course covering choking, CPR, minor injuries and various medical conditions.

My Experience
I have been a midday assistant since November 2020 .
I set up and clean tables, mediate playground conflicts (carefully listening to each child and noting down what they have to say before making a detailed report), apply basic first aid (cool packs for head injuries, wipes and plasters for cuts) and always try to provide a listening ear.
I have previously done work experience in a nursery and have looked after the children of family friends.
My Qualifications
I have a 2:1 degree in Global History. I completed a course on learning through play. I am studying Japanese. I have GCSES in Maths, English , Science etc. I have A Levels in History and English.
My Availability
No current availability, as working Monday to Friday 7.30 to 5.30pm during holidays. Term time I am working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7.30 to 9am and 3pm to 5.30pm. Wednesday morning and 3 to 5.30pm.

Priscilla looked after my 9 year old for half a term last year. She was always on time and communicated well if there were any queries or concerns. Would not hesitate to recommend her.

Priscilla picked up my children from school and looked after them for a couple of hours a week and they loved her. She did crafty things with the children, enforced house rules and made my children very excited to see her each week! I only needed her for a short period due to a change in circumstances but I would never hesitate to contact her again if needed. Me and my girls are very grateful. Communication was great and I couldn't fault the service she provided me for the short time she was with us. Thank you!

Priscilla was immediately available. She fit into the work quickly and the kids loved her. I really recommend her and I will definitely use her service in the future.
