About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder in Arborfield.
I have been registered since August 2016.
Before that I worked as a Senior staff nurse and worked in the NHS for over 20 years.
I am also a qualified First Aid Instructor.
I am a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years and have full public liability insurance.
My main aim is to make children and parents feel welcome in my setting by providing a happy, caring, safe and stimulating environment where children can have fun whilst they learn and develop.
I provide a home from home setting, The children have the choice to play indoors or outdoors. Indoors, I have a wide range of activities to enhance and encourage learning and development. Outside the garden is secure and contains a sandpit, seesaw, water play and various other outdoor toys which are rotated regularly.
We have planned activities throughout the week such as arts and crafts, sensory/messy play and cooking. To help promote children's social skills we regularly attend play groups, children's centre, the library, parks and soft play.
We also have trips to feed the ducks and play in the park at California Country Park and Dinton pastures. We are in walking distance to Lockey Farm, Henry Street Garden Centre and lots more places.
