My Experience

I have been in the nannying industry for almost 8 years. Currently, I work as a part time Nanny for a family with 2 children. This job involves school runs, dropping off at clubs, homework, making dinner and entertaining the children for the evening, in addition to house work such as laundry and cleaning. Previously I worked for another family with 2 kids. I have also worked with young boy with autism, giving his mum some rest on the weekends.

I volunteered for over a year in a morning and after school childcare facility in the North East. I also volunteered with the Rainbow Trust at Great North Children’s through university, visiting sick kids while their parents had some time for themselves. I have a passion for working with children, and have made it a career I absolutely adore. I have experience with babies, toddlers and children up to teenage years, in addition to those with challenging behaviour. I also have two younger siblings who are now 14 and 15, who I have looked after since they were babies.

I have my own daughter who is 14 months old, she is my world and has taught me so much that I have been able to adapt to my job. I can provide references for both long term nannying families I have worked with.

My Qualifications

I have no official childcare related qualifications but over 8 years in the industry and have worked with children in some form since I was 14.

My Availability

Only available for babysitting.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.50 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)

I charge a base rate for hours, long term nannying that varies in term or holiday time I ask for salaried pay to keep my income consistent. I charge £0.45 per mile for mileage in my personal car with business insurance. I am happy to pay for activities and food while we are out, billing at the end of the week.
