Avril initially looked after my son from the age of 5 months … she now looks after my daughter who has just turned 1, since she was 8 months old. Avril has always been very accommodating and flexible, and also very helpful in offering advice, particularly around weaning tips which were most welcome! Avril is always responsive to my texts, and also provides updates on a specific childhood learning platform which allows me to see the activities that they get up to during the day. They both enjoy going to Avril’s house, and playing with all the toys there, and also her children who are always a pleasure.
I’ve not rated food as we provide our own, aside from that I rate everything excellent.

My daughter began coming to Avril when she was two years old. This being her first childcare placement she settled in with Avrils family environment with total ease. I was apprehensive leaving her but Avril responded to my texts ensuring me that everything was fine and putting my mind to ease! Avril has always been very reliable in her care and straightforward if I’ve needed to ask things. She supported us from day one with our daughters toilet training and followed through. My daughter loves coming to Avril she bonds well with the other children here as well as Avrils own family. I feel totally confident in leaving my child with Her she’s a lovely down to earth person who has always tried her best to accommodate the changes in circumstances especially over the duration of the pandemic 100%
I have rated 0 for food as we supply all food and snacks so it’s not applicable.

Avril has been picking up my daughter from school since September 2020. From the moment I spoke to Avril she was very helpful and accommodating. I met her the next day and immediately felt comfortable to have her pick up my daughter. Due to the type of job I do and the fact that I'm a single mum I sometimes have to change pick up days last minute or sometimes I go late to pick up my daughter. Each time Avril has been accommodating. She also seems to care very much for my child and knows how to balance giving suggests and not overstepping the mark. I would recommend Avril and have nothing short of positive to say about the service I've received from her.

My daughter started with Avril at 12months and she settled in so well after a week. Avril advised us to start gradually with 1h/ day, then 2h/day and I was amazed how easily she settled in. She really enjoyed all the cool toys, sensory activities, reading books and nursery rhymes.
My daughter loved the gentle nurturing environment and the interaction with the older children. Avril is caring, attentive and skilled at engaging and guiding the children. We are very grateful for all the support and feedback we received from Avril.

Avril was our first foray into childcare, and she is absolutely fantastic. After a short settling in period, my then 13 month old son was always bouncingly excited when he realized we were heading for her house, and also happy when I picked him up.
Avril is warm and caring and all of the children in her care are cheerful and playful. Her home is clean and set up well for the work, with lots of organized toys, music, and fun. She takes them to various outings like soft play on a regular basis as well. She keeps and eye on their development and both works with the children and gives feedback to the parents.
We were concerned about our clingy son moving into part time childcare, but we couldn’t have asked for a better first experience than with Avril. I would highly recommend her services.

We sent our son to Avril for just over a year from 1 3/4 - 3 years. He was always really happy, learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Avril creates a really nice homely atmosphere, her own children are a credit to her and our son adored them and her. He was always happy to go and we always felt that he was in excellent hands.
We also think he really benefited from the opportunity to play with children from a range of ages. I would not hesitate to recommend Avril to anyone looking for an excellent childminder for their kids. They would be in very good hands!

My daughter spent 2.5 years with Avril and has gone through a lot of stages in that time, throughout the whole experience Avril has been patient, caring, understanding and loving. She was also extremely flexible with our busy schedules which suited us well. I highly recommend Avril and the environment she offers as my child has spent lots of time outside, interacting with many different children including Avril's own children and learned a lot under her caring supervision. We will miss Avril dearly.

My son settled down quite easily and really likes avril. She does several activities with him and takes him to the park which he loves. We were quite relaxed when he was with her as she is quite efficient. Her location is quite close to the station which helps

We are so happy we found Avril. When we approached her first she was professional and organised. Her home is clean and really inviting for children. Our son settled in quickly and loves going to her house. She is obviously very caring and experienced and makes sure the children have fun and feel loved. She provides regular updates via a website so you can see what they get up to and links this to EYFS.
Can't recommend her highly enough

Settling wasn't easy for us but Avril was super patient, communicative and helpful. She is so kind and loving with all the children and I felt I was leaving my baby with someone who really cares. She definitely tries her best for the child and the parent and I can recommend her with no hesitations.
