About Me

Hello!
We are looking for a live-in au pair to join our family, and to help care for our 7-year-old daughter, Bee, and our 2 sweet-natured dogs.
Bee is a bright, friendly, easy-going child with a sunny disposition, and the dogs are affectionate, well-behaved, and walk quietly on the lead. My husband and I are both doctors.

We live in a large house in a lovely area of Bristol, called Clifton.
Bristol is a cosmopolitan, safe, and welcoming city, famous for its beautiful architecture, vibrant art and music scene, and great nightlife.
It has several Universities and Art schools and a relatively young local population.
Clifton is next to the beautiful Avon Gorge; the Downs; several public parks & playgrounds; Bristol University and the Royal West of England Academy of Art. There are various language schools and many independent shops, restaurants, and cafés in the immediate vicinity.

Our house has lots of room for playing inside if the weather is bad. We have a large art studio, which is great for messy art and crafts; a garden, and an allotment nearby.

You will be on your own floor, next to the art studio.
You will have a beautifully furnished double bedroom overlooking the garden, with a wall-mounted smart TV and fast broadband, a shower room, and a small kitchen (not the main kitchen). Most of the time, this kitchen and shower room will be just for your use: very rarely, if we have people staying or children playing in the art room, then they may need to use the sink, for example.

While you will be very welcome to eat with us and use the rooms throughout the whole house, this arrangement also allows you to live slightly more independently if you wish.

We require between 25-35h help per week.
This would involve giving Bee breakfast and walking her to school in the morning, walking the dogs, and doing some minor housework.
You would then be free all day until she needs to be collected at 4 or 5pm, (the exact time depends on after-school clubs).
You would give her something to eat and play with her until we return home from work at around 6-7pm. We try to ensure that at least one parent is home around 5pm but this is not always possible.

You will be free every evening after we return home, and at weekends, except on the odd occasion that we may ask you to babysit. This would attract additional pay at £10 per hour.
We will provide your food, household bills, and accommodation and give you 'pocket money' of £120 per week.
We are looking for a proactive, non-smoking, friendly au pair who enjoys spending time with children and dogs.
You do not need to be able to drive.
