About Me
Hi parents,
My name is Farhiya Yusuf and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I live with my husband and three beautiful children. I'm based in Manchester near Whalley Range. I welcome children from all areas.I live down a quiet road with plenty of parking space when dropping off/collecting your child.
I live in a spacious open planned clean home with a big bright playroom for the little ones to play and learn that is Montessori inspired.
I am a person who is sincere, caring, and kind. I have a lot of wonderful references for you to peruse, including those from my parents and my years of experience working in the childcare industry. I also have large front garden with tall fences around for privacy- I have a larger outdoor room that I have made into a playroom with lots of space for a slide, bikes, sand and water area all of which offer many opportunities for outdoor physical development.
I take a very hands-on approach with the children, and we engage in a wide variety of activities that are suitable for their age, such as arts and crafts, messy play, and cooking. In addition, we have calmer time for reading books, singing songs, and giving each other lots of cuddles. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is something that I follow, and I have a lot of information on this topic. I would like to know more about it.
I work Monday to Thursday term time only.Opening hours are 8am-5:30pm

My Experience
I was a teacher assistant from 2006-2017. I have enjoyed every aspect of my career and gained so much knowledge from teaching and looking after children. I have also gained experience with working with SEN children throughout my years of working with children. I work alongside two assistants- one holds a degree in health and social care and has previous experience with working with kids. The other one has previous experience as a teacher assistant.Everyone in the house has a DBS check.
I am mum myself and have 2 children.
My Qualifications
I have the following qualifications:
NCFE CACHE level 3 award in preparing to work in home based childcare .
Childminding course
Paediatric first aid
Safeguarding children foundation
Child development
EYFS certificates
DBS check also childcare diploma level 3.
Supporting children with language, speech and communication needs.
Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety
Have a folder of all training and certificates to view when you visit the setting.
My Availability
Monday to Thursday: 8am to 17:30pm.
I currently have 6 spaces availability.

From the moment I entrusted my children to Farhiya’s setting in 2018, I knew I had found someone truly special. Farhiya has not only provided exceptional care for my children, but has also become an integral part of our family. Her nurturing nature, dedication, and genuine love for children shine through in everything she does.
The environment she creates is warm, welcoming, and safe, making it easy for my children to feel comfortable and happy in her care. Every day is filled with engaging activities, creative play, and meaningful interactions that have undoubtedly contributed to my children's growth and development over the years.
I have complete peace of mind knowing that my children are in Farhiya’s capable hands. Her professionalism, reliability, and open communication have always impressed me. She goes above and beyond to ensure that my children’s needs are met . :) highly recommended Farhiya’s setting.

My son loves Farhiya.She cared incredibly for my son.Very careful and kind.When I had questions about my son she answered immediately.I have no hesitation in recommending her to any family seeking childcare.Farhiya planned activities for him,gave him lunch and kept us up to date throughout with what he was doing.We will certainly use her again as our son enjoyed his time and came home with lots of talk about.

Farhiya is the most kid and caring childminder, my children have learnt such wonderful manners, politeness and independence from her. My son was a clingy 7 month old baby when I started sending him there, he is now 19 months old an active young boy, always willing to try something new. He is still with her. My daughter is now 3 but started when she was 13 months, she has developed so much in her speech and is so kind and has learnt to share so nicely.
Both kids have come on leaps and bounds in their speech, in their reading, in their learning, independence at meal times without fuss, and so many other way!
Thank you for your support and look forward to starting my so back in September.

Outstanding atmosphere, Farhiya looked after both of my kids from 10 months, they both enjoy all the activities they have with Farhiya and both of her assistants. They always look forward to go to Farhiya on daily basis. She has great experience with kids and i have learned from her alot in regards to many aspects i.e encouraging the kids to speak and ask for their needs.
I am greatful and appreciate all the hard work she puts into this.

I can’t recommend Farhiya highly enough , she looked after my son since he was 7months old till he was 2years. From the bottom of my heart I really appreciated her service, especially the times I would leave my son when he wasn’t feeling well, she took amicable care of him , your children will be in good hands with her, very reliable and a genuine love for children. Thank you again.
