About Me
Hello,and thank you for looking at our profile. My name is Diane Simpson and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I am 51 years old and based in Kirkheaton , Huddersfield. I live with my partner, my mother and my two daughters aged 26 and 22. I have been registered with Ofsted for 13 years and was thrilled to be graded as 'Good' yet again at my latest Ofsted inspection in March 2024. When childminding I am occasionally assisted by my daughters who are both Ofsted registered, hold clear enhanced DBS certificates and are both paediatric first aid qualified. I also work very closely with other local childminders and meet up regularly for activities with the children. At Jellybeans we aim to provide professional care in a nurturing, caring, family environment, tailoring this to meet your family's individual needs. We are currently working towards become a Hygge accredited setting and enjoy lots of free play in our large outdoor area. We also attend weekly forest school sessions. We are pleased to be able to offer funded places for 2, 3 & 4 year olds and qualifying 9 mth olds.
My Experience
My background is as a parent myself and also as an Early Years Practitioner. Before working as a childminder, I spent four years at a primary school in the Early Years Foundation Unit as an Educational Teaching Assistant working mainly 1-1 with children with Special Educational Needs, and I also spent time working in years 1 and 2 with children with Special Educational Needs. I also regularly took small groups of children to teach phonics and numeracy.

I completed extensive training during the course of my career at school and continue to do so as part of my professional development as a childminder. These are as follows:

My Availability
As a general guideline we work from 7am to 6pm Monday - Thursday . However we are able to provide flexibility to suit your working hours if needed.
We currently service All Hallows C of E Almondbury and Dalton J&I school.
We do not provide overnight care at this time.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
8am - 6pm: £45 per day
7am- 6pm: £50 per day
Half day (8-1/1-6) - £25 per session
Hourly rate before and after school (mon-fri)- £5 per hour
Please note that fees will vary depending on the specific hours you need should you require earlier/later care than the guideline hours.
