My Summary
About Me
My name is Sue Bennett, I am a Ofsted registered childminder living in Swanley. I live in a beautiful location with my husband. I have two grown up children neither of which live at home.
I am a personable, enthusiastic and friendly person who has worked for many years with children and young people. I am a newly registered childminder although I childminded previously for 10 years whilst my own children were at school.
My aim is to provide a home from home environment for the children in my care, working closely with parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for their child. I implement the EYFS (early years foundation stage) to ensure children learn and develop, reaching their full potential, as well providing a safe and secure environment for them to flourish.
I live in a beautiful setting, surrounded by Swanley Park and have a spacious garden giving children the opportunity to explore the world they live in. Children have access to all rooms on the ground floor of my home and I have a room solely for the use of childminding (playroom).
Your child’s welfare and wellbeing is paramount to me. To enable your child to settle in and ease transition I will work alongside you to incorporate elements of your care and routine into our day, ensuring you feel comfortable knowing you have left your child in safe hands.
My Experience
I completed my NNEB (diploma in childcare) when I left school, and went on to work in a variety of nursery settlings for 9 years before becoming a preschool adviser. Following the birth of my daughter I enjoyed working as a registered childminder for 10 years.
I went on to work in a variety of local schools as a classroom assistant before completing my teaching qualification. I have recently retired from teaching after 8 years and am excited by my decision to return to childminding.
