My Experience

6/2015-12/2015
I was a part time babysitter responsible for the welfare of one baby boy who at the time was around 5 months old! It was actually my neighbour who trusted me to take sole charge of him whilst she finished up work.
My duties consisted of;
- Changing nappies
- reading and playing with age appropriate books/toys
- Providing him with healthy snacks
- Very light housekeeping whilst he napped
And the occasional soft play outing for his social development
This placement was only for 6 months as I was balancing school life but it was good work experience which made me fall in love with Nannying!

2016-2017
In charge of looking after a sweet 2 year old boy. I was the sole carer of his everyday activities and development. Parent was working full time.
My duties consisted of;
-Cooking healthy meals
-Bathing and dressing
-introducing him to outdoor activities such as soft plays and playgrounds
-Organising play dates
-Assisting him with his language development and also teaching him a bit of Spanish!
-Playing age appropriate games at home on a rainy day ( he loved arts and crafts!)
-Always read him a bedtime story
-Library outings
-Light housekeeping included baby’s laundry, baby’s room and bathroom and also some kitchen duties such as running the dishwasher and washing machine. He Was an absolute wonderful little boy! And the family was also amazing to work with!

09/2017-March/2020
Responsible for the welfare and safety of 2 children, G6 and B8 (at the time of employment)
My duties included:
-getting them ready for school in the mornings as well as drop offs and pick ups
-Club runs after school, including taking them to swimming lessons outside of school.
-Care for children over weekends, breaks and evenings (also some frequent over night stays)
-Specialising in creating engaging and educational activities while advancing problem solving and multi tasking skills.
-Tutored and assisted them with assignments for subjects like maths, science, reading, history and art.
-Carefully followed the parents instructions regarding schedules, chores, discipline and free time.
-Frequent outings to lots of different energy burning activities such as Go ape, long walks, skate parks, museums etc.

Currently-
Working as a full time as an Early years educator.
Teaching children from various age groups to develop and communicate as they should. As well as making sure their physical and mental health is on the right track.
- Day to day includes lots of brain stimulating games.
- outdoor play
- Lunch time where we encourage independent eating.
- Lots of reading.
And much more.

My Qualifications

• 7 GCSE’s A*- C Including maths and English
• 3 A-Levels A-C; Sociology, Psychology and Spanish.

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)

£20 an hour for weekends
