About Me
Hello, I'm Lucy Gibbons. I would like to describe myself as someone who is determined and hard working, cliche but it’s true. I enjoy what I do and put everything into it because the more you put in, the more you get out. I'm enthusiastic and alert. I partake in physical activity and spend a large amount of my spare time at the gym -
however not at the moment. I'm a big believer in exercise participating to a healthy mind as well as a body. I feel this even more so now with the huge mental health awareness for adults and adolescents.
As a child I competed in swimming at a county level and gymnastics at a club level. I thoroughly enjoyed the commitment to something; I loved and ensured that I attended all 7 training sessions a week to be the best I could be.
Due to the impact on children’s education throughout the last year, I am currently offering tutoring to boost confidence and academically ability.
I am more than happy to come and meet with yourselves and children (in line with government guidelines) prior to bookings to meet the family.

My Experience
I'm a qualified primary school teacher and have been teaching for over 6 years. I love my job and the fact that I get to work with children seeing them grow each and every day whilst developing socially and emotionally is a true privilege.
I have babysat for about 13 years; ages ranging from 3 months to 16 years - this is for children with a variety of needs.
I have carried out a huge amount of work with children and young adults with additional needs from physical disabilities to behaviour needs and feel that this is an area that I am confident within. As part of my support role for special needs I have used feeding tubes and supported in administering medications.
When planning work and activities I like to ensure that what I do is to the best of my ability and something that will suit all individual needs, as all of us are unique and individual.
Part of being a teacher involves a huge amount of planning including school trips on small and large, across water scales, therefore I'd be more than happy to take children out on day trips using my own vehicle (business insurance) or public transport. I'm a competent swimmer so I am more than happy to take children to swimming pools as I have done so many occasions.

I have full DBS check, a clean driving license and up to date first aid training - all available upon request.

BEdPrimary education with specialism in physical education.
My Availability
My holidays will always fall in line with Surrey’s school holiday calendar and I am available most days during the school holidays unless I have pre booked holiday myself. I currently do not have any holiday booked for Summer 2021.
I am available at weekends and evenings on a pre arranged or adhoc bases during term time and during the holidays. I'm also more than happy to carry out light housework around babysitting/nannying.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £35.00 per hour
Depending on requirements I am happy to negotiate.
£30-£40 per hour for tutoring depending on location.
