About Me
As an Edinburgh City Council employee I have a PGV Disclosure Scotland certificate and registered with Scottish Social Sercives Council. I am a friendly and approachable individual, I am very caring, reliable and like to work hard. Due to my experience I'm very in tune to each individual childs needs and have experience working with a variety of ages, abilities as well as additional support experience. Long hours do not phase me and I'm not afraid to get stuck in and more than happy to carry out jobs around the house such preparing meals, cleaning, dog waking etc as well as taking care of the children primarily. If your children have hobbies and activities I can take them there. I can help with homework, entertain, carry out activities such as crafts, baking, gardening. I can take them to the park, swimming, bedtime stories. I am a great multi tasker and used to looking after multiple children at once. Personally I enjoy an active lifestyle, during evenings and weekends off I will socialise with friends and family. My hobbies include yoga, swimming, running, cooking, reading and sailing. I like being outdoors and love to travel.
My Experience
I currently work as Early Years Practitioner in Primary School Nursery in Edinburgh. I have a passion for my career in early years and experience working with children from birth to 16. I studied HNC Early Education and Childcare and have several years experience working in various environment in a private nursery, child and family centre as well as school and nursery setting. I also spent a summer working in America in a dual role of a camp counsellor/sailing instructor/lifeguard where I lived with and cared for a number of children full time as well as teaching water sports classes.
