About Me
Blooming-Babies is a small and friendly childcare setting based in Sawtry. I started out as a childminder working alone in my own home. We are now a very close team of people who strive to provide enritching experiences and leaning opportunities for the children who attend our setting on a daily basis. Over the past few years the business has expanded and we made the decision to work from a purpose built log cabin, with an all weather garden.
The children who attend the setting benefit from a larger social circle than they would if I worked alone but the setting is still small enough for them not to get lost and for us to all get to know each of the children really well on an individual basis. The children form strong friendships within the group which stay with them well into their school years. We have strong relationships with our families and take great pride in working in partnership with them.
My Experience
Between us we have a wealth of experience in childcare across different settings including big day nurseries and schools alike. We are all parents ourselves and we care and provide for the children in the same way we would expect for our own. We have worked with children from all different abilities and backgrounds and have experience in English as an additional language, children with additional learning and medical needs.
My Qualifications
Myself and all members of staff hold the following qualifications:
Level 3 diploma for the Children and young people's workforce
Paediatric First Aid trained
Enhanced DBS checked
Safeguarding & Child protection trained
ICO Registered
Food Hygiene
Special Educational Needs
Prevent Duty & Anti-radicalisation

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.40 per hour
My fees are to include all:
Meals and snacks
Milk, including formula milk, wipes and nappies.
We charge a day rate of £70.30

My daughter finished with blooming babies in December 19 and she has grown heaps and bounds working with all the staff. The setting is great and there is loads for the kids to do. I have nothing but the upmost respect for Katie and her staff, especially for helping massively after my ankle operation. Always there if you need A chat, never judge and just good all round people. My daughter will certainly miss everybody there, I will definatley be using Blooming babies when the new member of the family comes along! There is only one place you should Send your kids, and that's Blooming Babies x

During my search for childcare I visited 9 (yep, NINE) different nurseries. I’d never even considered a childminder until my mum suggested that might be what I was looking for. That’s when I met Katie and her team; and I’ve never looked back. Upon entering the setting I felt instantly at ease, despite the actual childcare taking place in the cabin we were welcomed into the house as if we were old friends.
Since my child has been attending Blooming Babies (5 months) she really has bloomed. Her interaction with other children, her expression and confidence have come on tremendously. The ladies have been integral in her weaning journey, her walking journey and her talking journey. I drop her off and without a second look she’s straight through the door and off. When I pick her up there’s always a smile on her face.
There is honestly no where else I’d want to send my child and future children.
PS. I’ve given 5* for each rating because that is honestly how much I rate them.
