About Me
My name is Jeanie, I am a registered childminder. As a registered childminder, I provide a service that allows girls and boys to learn, play and develop in a safe secure home based environment. Play is at the centre of the child’s learning and development.
My family consists of my husband and our seven children and myself. We have three boys and four girls aged; 22, 21, 19, 13, 13, 10 and 3. We have one very shy family cat, Poppy and two very friendly cats, Neko and Mao.
Our house is situated in a quiet street in Bedwas, with ample parking for parents.
We have a large enclosed garden with a play area consisting of a trampoline, two swings, two Wendy houses and two slides. The ground of the play area is safety protected with mulch safety flooring. There is also patio with a large, permanent, pitch roofed gazebo. It is a 1 minute walk to the local Park and recreation ground.
My Experience
I have 22 years’ personal experience raising my own children and eight years’ experience as a childminder.
My Qualifications
I attended university and have a first class, honours degree in Hotel and Catering Operations Management. I held various management positions within the hospitality industry before becoming a childminder as this was more suited to the needs of my family.
Relevant to childminding I have the following qualifications:
GCSE in Child Development
Diploma in Food Hygiene
Nutrition was studied as part of my degree

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
My fees are £5.50 per hour. Under 5's are charged a minimum of 8.5 hours a day but can attend longer. Over 5's, holiday sessions are also charged a minimum of 8.5 hours per holiday day but can attend longer.
Before school, including drop off is £12.00 per session. After school, including collection is £16.50 per session.

Jeanie is a very caring childminder who is brilliant with children of all ages. She organises fun activities with them, loves craft activities with the children, has lots of outdoor toys to enjoy and my son loves going to her.

I've been using Jeanie for childcare since my children were babies (they're now 8,10 and 12). Jeanie's is always extremely welcoming: she evidently loves and cares about the children she's looking after, which is really important to us. She works hard to ensure that they're happy doing things that they enjoy. I can trust her 100% and know she's honest and quick to raise any concerns. Highly recommend!
