Hi im Melissa, I live in Blidworth with my husband and have been working with children since 2009.

I am a caring and patient person, and I enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with children.
I provide a fun and caring home from home environment. I aim to make each day fun for the children, and provide a range of activities including arts and crafts, outdoor and imaginary play. The children also have a large choice of toys that they can get out each day, and we go on outings to places such as Rufford park, Indoor play centres, local parks and the library.
My OFSTED grading is 'Good'. More information can be found on the OFSTED website.
My Experience
I have worked with children aged from 3 months to 14 years old. Some of this experience came from working as a nanny before I went on to register as a childminder in October 2011.
During my 2 years spent at college, I also gained valuable experience working with children in nursery's and school settings.
As well as this I have some experience working with children who have special needs, autism and ADHD.

I continually undertake professional development to widen my knowledge of child development.
My Availability
I offer childcare for children aged 0 - 11 years old from 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday. Overnight care, babysitting and occassional weekend care is also available.
I may be able to offer some pick ups from Blidworth Oaks Primary School, depending on the days and ages of the children.
As I don't yet have children of my own I am very flexible with my working hours and I am happy to stay open longer if needed.
I accept all government funding, tax free childcare payments and childcare vouchers.

My fees are £4.50 per hour, small discounts can be made for siblings, shift patterns and various other circumstances. Please contact me to discuss this.

Melissa worked for us looking after my 2 sons, an 8yr old and a now 2yr old. Melissa was fantastic with both the children and always made everyday different and fun for them both. She has a very kind nature and is very patient. She would take my youngest to all sorts of sure start groups, and made sure he had the interaction needed for his development. I would reccomend Melissa highly to anybody wanting a childminder.
