About Me
Hi, my name is Sharron. My husband Mike, who is my registered assistant, works alongside me.
Mike is the vice chair of a Childminding association, and I am the training coordinator.
We have been minding for 18 years so we have plenty of experience.
We have 2 children, our daughter , Alexandra, who is 23 and lives next door to us.
She finished her degree in Criminology last year and now works for Cheshire Constabulary.
Daniel is in Liverpool studying Zoology.
Both Our children have an upto date DBS, which is a requirement when a child reaches 16 .
Daniel enjoys spending time showing the children how to do science experiments.
We have a Cocker Spaniel called Skipper, and he is 10 he is very friendly, but we keep him separate when we are working or he is at doggy day care .
We have a fully equipped and bright, airy playroom that leads to our secure all-weather outdoor play area (with artificial grass and a patio) equipped with a wooden activity hideout and slide .
Water and sand play and a variety of garden games, outdoor soft play, and a play house.
We have a large kitchen where children can learn to bake or enjoy messy play.
We have a designated downstairs toilet that is equipped for all ages .
We regularly attend our local children's centre, toddler groups, local libraries, and parks ,we are members of the Zoo and Ness gardens . we occasionally go to soft play areas.
We often go to the ice cream farm and love the sand and water to play there . We are out and about most mornings.
We do not offer a babysitting service or work weekends.
My Experience
Over the year's we have looked after many children from all backgrounds
We have cared for children with Adhd , ASD , Asperger, global delay , allergies, Tourettes syndrome .
We also provide emergency cover care for social services.
I was also a governor at Victoria Infants/St Thomas primary and regained my position when the two schools amalgamated,
Chester Bluecoat was then formed.

Rated a 5 by the Food Hygiene agency
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in home -based childcare
EDI Level 3 Diploma for children and young people's workforce ( early learning and childcare ) Mike is currently studying for this qualification.
References can be shown and also other certificates of courses that I/we have attended .
We regularly attend courses to update our training and keep us updated with all aspects of childcare.
We work in close partnership with parents/carers to provide a safe, happy, fun stimulating and educational environment and work within the EYFS guidelines .
My Availability
MONDAY-FRIDAY
We work from 7am - 5.30pm.
We offer wrap around care at..
Saughall All Saints, Thursday and Friday (we currently have a space )
Chester Bluecoat Monday-Wednesday.
WE HAVE A MONDAY, TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY ( All Day) AVAILABLE FROM JANUARY 2025.
We can also offer a term time contract.
With a 50% retainer for school holidays.
*We don't offer one-off days or a babysitting service*
We do not work weekends.

From the first conversation to our final tearfull goodbye we cannot express our sincere gratitude for the professional nature, compassion, time and enthuaism that Sharon, Mike, Dan and Alex have all invested in our little boy.
During the last 18 months, Charlie has had so much amazing emotional and intellectual stimulation along side social stimulation with other groups.
We believed that the whole setting was always immaculate, Charlie was always well fed and content when we picked him up every day. In any parents world, that creates a peace of mind.
Charlie is now a very well rounded little boy, who strived with the structure at Sharon and Mike's.
From the communication book to the door stop chats daily, we have felt that we have never missed any of our childs special moment.
The activities that the children have been involved in have sparked an interest in the natural world as well as arts and crafts, imaginative play, animals and most importantly a love of education.
Honestly we could not recommend Sharon and Mike highly enough, they are an amazing childminder that provide rounded care with love and and a passion to develop all of the children in their setting.

We first met Sharron and Mike just over 2 years ago when considering what to do with our little boy once it was time for me to go back to work. We had been to a number of nurseries and other childminders but when visiting the setting and meeting them both, I knew instantly this was the place I wanted my son to be. Our son was with Sharron and Mike for just over two years and it’s safe to say he adored them both, as did we. They always kept us well informed of the good and bad times and really worked with us to get the best out of our son. Our son is now at preschool and is thriving and the transition from childminder to preschool has been so much easier! We will miss Sharron and Mike and they have since text for updates and kept in touch. A real personal touch that has meant a lot to us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is considering childcare options. Absolutely fantastic!

When my first childminder gave up her job I was at my wits end wondering what I was going to do. Then I found Sharron and Mike and I have not looked back since. Sharron and Mike are wonderful people and are always willing to go that extra mile for the parents and children.
My little boy totally loves going to Sharron and Mike. He always gets super excited when he hasn't seen them for awhile and enjoys being there. I have seen him come on leaps and bounds since he has been going to them and he is for ever telling me how he likes going there and all the wonderful things he has been up to.
If anyone ever says to me they are looking for childcare Sharron would be the first person I would tell them about, I am very happy to have them as my childminder.

What can I say about Sharron and Mike other then they are both just fab!! We had just relocated to the area and so obviously didn't know really where was the best place for our 2 Year old son. Soon as I met them to go through things and get to know them I knew they were perfect for him. He settled in straight away and used to come home all happy and shouting shisham (Sharron) and mikes all over the place. The only reason we had to take him from there was the fact we were moving to the other side of Chester and my husband works away with our car. But my son still gets to see them every Friday at the Kingsway and Sharron will still text me so say she's had plenty of cuddles from him. If you have been concerned with looking for childcare then look no further!! Truly lovely people.

Sharron looked after my girls from pre school and though out school. It gave me the peace of mind knowing how well cared for and looked after they were.
When your a busy working mum the last thing you want everyday is tears and tantrums everyday when trying to get out of the house. I NEVER had this my girls looked forward to going there
