My Experience

I am currently employed at a Comprehensive school. I work with all the teachers and classes depending on staff availability and requirements and find the change from routine a stimulating challenge. Promoting a positive learning behaviour and environment is very rewarding when you see the children enjoying it.
As well as small and large groups, I have worked with children on a 1-1 basis where I adapt my teaching to engage the children's interest and be relevant to their abilities. Working well with a number of teachers and children requires the ability to form relationships with humour and respect and I think my personality has helped me do this.

Having had children myself and working with students for 19 years, I consider myself to have a patient and caring nature with lots of enthusiasm and energy. I am a calm and organised person with a positive and optimistic character. I have a good sense of humour, fit in well with whatever class I am asked to support and am punctual and reliable. These qualities have also been useful as I take delight in looking after 2 girls aged 7 and 9 after school one night a week. I also have ample experience in looking after newborns and as with my current nanny role enjoy watching and helping the children to grow and learn.

I am flexible in my approach to childcare and am happy to use my experience along with parents preferences to result in a happy, fun and positive learning environment for the children. Above all it is important to put the children's need first and to be positive and proactive.
