About Me
My name is Ceri Holpin and I am 34 years old, I am an OFSTED registered Child Minder in kingsway (Ceri's Caterpillars).
I live with my Husband, Lee and three daughters Eleanor (15), Melissa (11) and Hannah (8).
We share our home with Sweep the cat, Fudge the axolotl, kristof the african land snail and Caspa the snake (although she stays upstairs)
I live in a quiet street in Kingsway in Gloucester within walking distance of at least five play parks, a ten minute walk from the shops and two local schools. We are a hygge in the early years accredited setting loving being outdoors in our beautiful surroundings
I have a three bedroom house with a secure rear garden that is well equipped with ride along toys, mud kitchen, sand pit and water play.
The children learn to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers and we try to spend as much time in the garden as possible.
Children are able to play in my front room where there are a variety of toys including happy land, Duplo, farm animals, dressing up, role play, cars, train tracks and much more. I have a kitchen/diner with lots of different Arts and Crafts that children can select themselves through child led play as well as the ability to make our own play dough and learn to cook simple snacks.
My Experience
I started Child Minding after spending 9 years as a stay at home mum. When I left school I went to Gloscat and studied a btec national certificate in early years where I worked on placement in a variety of settings including day nurseries, a children center, a primary school and a special needs school. I thoroughly enjoyed my times in each placement and went on to be bank staff for the day nursery in my spare time.
I then went on to start my own family. I have spent my time enjoying my children and now I love being able to look after other people’s children as well as my own watching them all grow, learn and develop in their own unique ways.
My Qualifications
I am level 3 pediatric first Aid qualified and Safe Guarding Children qualified. I regularly like to attend courses run by the local Gloucestershire County Council, and childcare.co.uk as it is important to me that I continuously look to improve my setting.
My Availability
I am available Monday -Friday 8:00 am-5:30 pm

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Snacks such as breadsticks, crackers, fruit etc and drinks of milk or water will be provided at no additional cost.
I am happy to store and reheat meals as necessary.

We absolutely loved using Ceri as our childminder. Our son had so much fun and she always did great actities with them. The focus on a hyggee atmosphere and mental health in the children was fantastic. Our sons language came on leaps and bounds while with Ceri. We were really sad to leave - fully recommend if you want your little one to have a cosy and home from home childcare set up!
