About Me

**NO AVAILABILITY **
I live in Tunbridge Wells and am 29 years old.

I currently work for a family who have a son aged 2 and daughter aged 10 and have been employed by them since 2016.

Sadly, due to the son starting nursery the full time hours are no longer there. I therefore have availability on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I also work for another family on Monday and Tuesday for two boys aged 8 and 10. I do school picks ups on these days as well as household duties and cover school holidays. I have worked for this family since 2017.

I also worked for a variety of families temporarily when my employer was on maternity leave as I wanted to stay with them.

I have a daughter aged 4 who starts school in September.

My journey started at College when I studied health and social care as I originally wanted to become a Midwife. After a year on this course, my heart wasn't in it and I realised it wasn't for me. I decided to take a year out where I voluntarily worked in two different nurseries/pre schools, to ensure this was the career path I wanted to pursue and it was. I went back to College and studied Level 3 Diploma for the Children’s and Young People’s Workforce. I undertook work experience in a nursery setting whilst at College and when I had finished College they offered me a job. I enjoyed every day with the children and would often help out in other age groups.

I worked in babies which I loved and moved through the nursery with my key children from younger babies, to older babies, to toddlers. When I was working with the toddlers I decided that I wanted to become a nanny. The perfect opportunity arose when one of my key children's parents told me they were going to leave to find a nanny as the nursery wasn't for them or her at the time. I started working full time for them in March 2016 and have loved watching her develop and grow up into the wonderful young girl she is today.

I babysit for the families I work for and also some of the children I used to look after at nursery.

I feel very fortunate to be a nanny as I love my job. I genuinely look forward to going to work each day and being with the children, enjoying all their different characteristics, and I feel privileged to be part of the foundation of their lives. I like to plan fun, well rounded days, making sure they are adequate for each child’s individual needs and interests. I love to get down to the children’s level and have fun with them all, nothing sounds better than hearing children laugh and singing along with you and sometimes just being silly! I also like to instil good manners and behaviour. Being responsible for somebody else’s child is a big responsibility and one which I respect greatly. I am a hard working enthusiastic person and am punctual, reliable and responsible.

I am DBS checked, registered as a nanny with Ofsted and am insured with Nannyinsure. I am also trained in first aid.
