Home from Home

I have 2 children with Agnes and I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful person to look after them whilst I work. 5 stars are not enough.

My son, Finn, now almost 3, has been with Agnes since he was 12 months old. The way she has cared for him and supported all aspects of his development is incredible. From self care to independence she takes time with him to ensure he is confident to take his next steps in life. My daughter, Rosie, 16 months, has been with Agnes around 6 months and settled in so easily. She adores Agnes and is always happy to see her in the mornings at drop off.

Agnes provides individualised care in a family setting, always talking to me to ensure we are on the same page with everything to do with the children’s routine. She provides 3 beautifully prepared, nutritious meals each day and snacks that they both love. Agnes takes the children out to playgroups, trips and play dates most days and even on days they stay at home arranges incredible themed/messy play activities. Agnes’ home is always super clean and the children come home spotless. If there have been any accidents, Agnes invariably washes the soiled clothes for us!

From the start Agnes filled me with complete confidence through her communication with both myself and the children. She sends updates with photos throughout the day and makes telephone contact if there are ever any concerns. She is very sensible about coughs and colds whilst being responsible to protect everyone in her setting. Agnes is flexible in her approach and always tries to accommodate us when schedules don’t go to plan.

If you are looking for a home from home setting for your little one, look no further, you won’t find anyone better than Agnes.

Simply the best

I don’t think I can even do justice in words as to how fantastic Agnes is as a childminder. My baby Archie started with her at 9 months and the moment he got through her door he never looked back. It’s always a stressful time returning to work after having a baby - you worry about so much, but Agnes made the whole process so seamless and goes above and beyond - day in and day out - for the children in her care. She provides home cooked, fresh food - which for my baby which dairy and soy allergies isn’t always easy, yet she buys him special food at no extra cost and always ensures he is well fed. He has his own room and cot to sleep in, with Agnes making sure to fit his naps in exactly as he has them at home. She takes the children out every day to different activities, play groups, meeting up with other childminders, going to parties, playgrounds, libraries, soft plays - the list is endless. She is constantly coming up with new and exciting things for them to do.
Agnes keeps us updated all day with photos on a WhatsApp group which is such a joy to see and means I can completely relax about Archie whilst at work. She even comes to baby sit for us so we can go out and Archie can be with someone he loves and trusts.
Archie has come on leaps and bounds since being with Agnes. I will also add her setting is IMMACULATE. I honestly don’t know how she does it. She even washes Archie’s clothes if they have become dirty for me!!! She is also very sensible when it comes to coughs and colds etc. they will not just be sent home or told to be picked up early like many of my friends nursery experiences - in fact we have managed to dodge most the major lurgies by being with Agnes, which is a huge relief! Yet of course if it is a risk to any other children in terms of sickness she makes sure everyone in the setting is protected.

So, really I cannot rate her highly enough, we couldn’t imagine being anywhere else and are already terrified at the idea of ever having to leave her! She will always be such an important part of our families lives. If you want to give your child the best start - she is your person!!!

Absolutely fantastic

Agnes has been looking after my now two year old daughter for almost a year. I can't praise her enough for the quality of childminding she provides. My daughter really struggled with settling in but Agnes was really flexible with the settling in process which really suited us and it was very successful. My daughter now LOVES going to Agnes and her family. Agnes always has fun activities planned for the kids -either going to the park, playgroup, softplay, farm or doing something special when staying at home. She provides all food which is home cooked and really healthy; of course there are treats too from time to time. She is really patient with the kids when they go through difficult times and gives them as much attention as they need.
Her home is incredibly clean and she has a large variety of toys suiting different age groups. She encourages progression in the kids develpment and teaches them new skills. Agnes always keeps us up to date during the day. I couldn't imagine anyone else looking after my daughter.
