About Me
My name is Carol I live in Lambeth, South London. I would like to describe myself as a warm, caring and kind and fun loving person who is excellent at time keeping, flexible and reliable. I also have the ability to set boundaries where needed. I previously worked as a Social Worker this was a position that I enjoyed and completely dedicated myself too. Due to this I have invaluable experience of working with children and families. Prior to this I worked as a support worker in various settings i.e. family homes, daily nanny, nurseries and schools. During this time I formed professional relationships with children and their families in my care gaining their trust and through the important work I was able to provide support necessary to make a positive change. My Experience
I have over 5 years childcare experience as room leader of the baby room managing up to 17 babies aged from 3 months, 6 staff. Later promotion to 3rd in Charge Manager, working alongside nursery Manager and other professionals, managing 36 staff, carrying out supervisions, appraisals, room meetings, staff meetings, minute taking, finance, credit control, Human Resources, liaising with parents showing them nursery discussing various systems that are in place. Liaising with multi disciplinary teams, attending child protection and case conferences, planning activities, opportunities and experiences for the children in my care meeting their developmental needs and planning their next steps, keeping each child safe, ensuring they are happy, enjoy and achieve economic well being . Administration, finance, collection of fees, running the day to day of the nursery ensuring safeguarding the children including SENCO, special educational needs co-ordinator. Knowledge of Parenta system and EYFS, Early Years Foundation Stage.

Carol helped look after our little one while we lived in Brixton, both as childminder and babysitter. She is the most wonderful warm and caring person. Her calm demeanour put us and our baby boy at ease. We fully trusted her to look after him at her house and at ours.
We especially enjoyed our interaction with Carol and couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

My daughter was with Nana Carol from the age of 1 until just after turning 3 and had to go to nursery. She has a clean and very engaging setting, my daughter enjoyed herself and developed very well in the time that she spent here. Carol is professional and friendly and always keeps you informed. If I had younger children I would definitely be going back to Nana Carol's. If she has a spot, snap her up, the space won't be available for long.

It was also great to see you both recently, your daughter has grown so much since attending nursery. I wish her all the very best in her journey in early years. I now she will do amazingly well. Nana Carol has been looking after my twin toddlers for around 6 months now. She is a warm, friendly and engaging childminder and I am always at ease when my girls are with her. It is clear she cares deeply about the children she looks after which is so important when entrusting your children with someone else. Our girls love spending time with Carol and the other children she looks after and we are really lucky to have found her. She has a great routine and often enages the girls in varied activities that help support their development and socialisation. She keeps me updated with their acheivements and sends photos of them having fun during the day. The girls have come on in leaps and bounds since being in her care and can't imagine them being looked after by anyone else! Thank you for taking such good care of my girls Carol!

you're most welcome its a pleasure caring for your children. I've watched them grow and become confident in their learning. They can and follow and understand small tasks and together we encouraged them in giving up their comforters during the day. Next stop Potty training!
