About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder with 15 years of early years experience.
I have always worked within the childcare sector, working within children’s centres and private day nurseries as a room leader before I decided to set up as a childminder.
I have plenty of knowledge and experience to enable me in my role, giving children the best prospects for their futures and focusing on each individual child’s needs / next steps.
I am married and have an 12 year old son and a 7 year old daughter.
We have 2 pet rabbits called Bing & Flop! Who all our children love helping to care for!
My Experience
I have a level 3 diploma in childcare, I have completed a level 2 Autism course and a level 2 course in understanding children and young people’s mental health.
I have also attended lots of other certified courses to support me in my role and to keep my ability to care for children at a high standard.
I attend training courses regularly and all my certificates can be seen upon viewing my setting.
I have cared for a range of children from newborn babies up to 12 years of age.
I encourage learning through play working within the relevant framework (EYFS).
I strongly focus on our curriculum and plan for each individual child to enable them to achieve their next developmental steps.
This ensures each child develops the best possible learning outcomes from their time with me.
I track all children’s development and complete a learning journal and daily diary for each child.
I am a home from home setting, And i aim to help children to thrive and explore in an engaging, fun environment. Whilst forming positive relationships with parents focusing on the child.
As a parent myself I completely understand how important it is to find the perfect childcare provider to take care of your little one.
My Qualifications
CACHE level 3 Diploma in children’s and young people’s workforce
CACHE level 2 Award in employment rights and responsibilities in health, social care or children and young people’s settings
CACHE level 2 certificate in understanding autism
Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children & Young People's Mental Health
Designated Safeguarding Lead for Early years providers
Level 3 Safeguarding Children
Prevent awareness course
Early help training
Paediatric first aid
Food Hygiene safety and a level 5 food hygiene rating.
I have completed many other courses to support my practice and these other certificates can be viewed.
