About Me
Muddy Boots Childminding
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with a number of years teaching experience. I have taught a range of ages and abilities which helps me when it comes to implementing the EYFS curriculum.
I am a cheerful, passionate and caring person. I love looking after little ones and enjoy seeing them develop and grow. I have 2 young children and have gained a lot of experience and knowledge from them.
I have been Ofsted registered since August 2017. I am also DBS checked, hold a full, clean, driving licence and a Paediatric first aid certificate (please contact me privately if you would like to see my certificates). I have experience of working in a nursery where I was lucky enough to work with all ages (birth to pre-school).
I live in Horfield, within close proximity to the MoD, Southmead Hospital, Airbus and Rolls Royce. I have a happy, safe and fun home from home environment with a spacious playroom and an enclosed garden. I have a variety of outdoor toys and activities that the children can access on a daily basis.
I provide healthy meals and snacks. All children will have the opportunity to go on a variety of outings. I currently have membership with Slimbridge, Wild Place and the Aerospace museum.
I have been married to Steve since 2012 and we have 2 lovely children.
My Experience
I qualified as a primary school teacher in 2007 and taught in primary schools for a number of years. I worked with a variety of ages and gained experience of how to make learning fun and engaging.
I became a mum in 2013 and have been learning more and more each day, I now have 2 young (Primary School age) children.
I have experience of working in a nursery where I was lucky enough to work with all ages (birth to pre-school).
I have attended the South Gloucestershire council introduction to Childminding course (ChIC). I recently completed a Paediatric First Aid Training course.
Whilst in my care, I actively encourage a routine with the children with the added excitement of daily activities such as messy play, cooking, arts and crafts, outdoor play, plus individual activities and group games.
I have experience of weaning , potty training and getting children ready for starting school. I have experience of working with, and caring for children from newborn (my own children and when I worked in the nursery) right through to 11 years.

Rachel has looked after our Daughter, for some time and we have had good experience and confidence with her: she's caring and very good with our little one. Our little one started with her after 2 years and continued to enjoy daily care playing with other children,visiting local play groups,Zoo and other educational activities. I can speak to Rachel if I ever had any concerns, queries or for special requirements, Rachel updates all daily activities in Baby's day app, Which is very useful to keep track on our little one development and daily activities.
Highly recommend Rachel.
