About Me
I am an Ofsted registered 'GOOD' childminder in Ross on wye, I'm married with 3 daughters.
I provide a home from home learning environment in my house and spacious and secure garden. We have 2 lovely dogs and 4 chickens.
I love my job, caring for children and seeing them development and thrive is a joy to me. As a parent myself I understand how important it is to find the right person to care and encourage your child, I work closely with my families to ensure we have a good working relationship making sure the child is the number one priority.
I take the children out and about to groups, farm parks, soft play, as well as within the local Community. Every where and everything has a learning opportunity, but I also do lots of different activities at home, arts and crafts, role play, cooking, story and song times to name just a few.

My Experience
I have over 15 years experience in childcare settings, I have cared for young babies right through to preschool children.
I also have 3 daughters. Both of which has given me a wealth of experience and knowledge in child developement.

My daughter started to going to Jenny’s at 9 weeks old. As you can imagine I was so nervous and scared for my almost newborn to be cared by someone else, and Jenny was so understanding. She communicated, allowed me to settle her at my own speed, made this very exhausted Mum feel seen. Jenny cared for Bon so well, she kept me in the loop, updates of how she was doing. My daughter struggled with settling due to a few of her own issues, and Jenny always let me know, and I could come and collect her. Jenny’s care is child focused, and their needs were the priority. My tiny human was in safe hands, and I couldn’t be more thankful for those 7 weeks of care so I could rest. I would highly recommend Jenny, especially as someone who would care for the smallest of babies exceptionally well. Thank you Jenny!

My daughter Olivia was 2 and half when she started with Jenny in April 2021. It had been a very uncertain year and Olivia had previously been in nursery and then at home with us when the pandemic hit.
When choosing a childcare setting for Olivia to return to it, a flexible and caring approach was exactly what we all needed as a family. As we had all spent so much time together, we felt a relaxed and homely approach would be perfect. Jen’s Childcare ticks all of these boxes! From the first time we met her it was like we had know her for ages, so welcoming and friendly. Olivia absolutely adored her and her family (especially her youngest daughter), she was always so excited when she knew it was a day to go to Jenny’s!
Jenny’s communication is fab, we were always kept updated with photos throughout the day. The children were kept busy whether it was with playing in the garden, trips to soft play, animal shows or playing in Jenny’s lovely play room. Olivia also developed a love for messy play whilst with Jenny, she was always very unsure of touching paint or getting her hands dirty. But Jenny worked really hard to help her understand it can be fun as well by combining one her favourite things (cars) and letting her make tracks with the car and paint.
We would have loved for Olivia to stay with Jenny longer however, when she turned 3 we moved her to the local nursery ready for her transition to school. We do hope for our youngest to attend Jenny’s too when I return to work after maternity.

My daughter Bobby started with Jenny when she was 10 months old, I didn't even worry about her for a second. Jenny is a very smiling and wonderful person, the children loved her. Bobby couldn't wait to go to Jenny's in the morning, it was a wonderful experience for my daughter and for the whole family. When Bobby was one year old, Jenny and prepared a wonderful party, it was amazing. Lots of crafting, lots of adventure and lots of fun. Even during the lockdown, she prepared songs and stories for us. Thank you Jenny, you are amazing.

Jenny looks after my 13mth old little girl, I chose Jenny to look after her when I returned to work when she was just 9 months and I am so pleased with all her care. She loves going to Jenny's and gets so excited in the mornings especially when she sees Jenny's own girls, she can't wait to go and play.
They do so many things there, from crafts, playgroup to outings to the park and other places.
I always feel confident about leaving her even if she is not feeling 100% due to teething I know she will be safe and happy and that Jenny will let me know if she has any concerns.

Toby started with Jenny in Sept 2017, and it was the best decision I've ever made. I've never felt more comfortable and happy leaving either of my children with anyone.
They do so many brilliant activities as well as day trips and she is always looking for new things to try with them.
Toby has progressed so much and Jenny keeps me informed of his progress constantly. I get photos and updates in the day which I absolutely love and a lovely little booklet with daily updates.
She is almost like a second mum to my son. Even her children treat him like one of their own which I think is amazing. He absolutely adores Jenny and I get the impression the feeling is mutual, she is always so happy and smiley when she greets him in the morning and he happily goes to her every day.
The environment is lovely and homely with a brilliant selection of toys/books and a wonderful garden for them to play in.
I couldn't and wouldn't wish for a better person to look after my child and wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Jenny to anyone!

Jenny is amazing with little boy George! I hated leaving him to start with, but she helped him and myself settle. Jenny does a lovely little diary for him, that tells me all about what he’s been up to in the day, every nappy change and what he’s eaten. I feel george is very safe with Jenny. She’s like a friend, she communicates very well about anything, we talk during George’s stay, she also posts photos on a private Facebook group. George loves Jenny and her little girls. We are so lucky to have her in our lives, George has grown so much confidence since being with her. ☺️
