About Me
I am a Ofsted 'Good' rated Registered Childminder based in Lower Earley near Asda.
Ofsted Good Grade inspected in June 2023
I offer a home from home environment and I like to keep busy with the children and regularly visit play sessions and parks, feeding the ducks and meet with other childminders so the children get to mix and play with other children and have plenty of fresh air.
We have playroom with a large variety of toys, I also have a large garden with outdoor toys such as sand and water play, bikes and playhouse .
We also cover a large variety of arts and crafts which include paint, Playdough, cooking and glueing/sticking. I also provide opportunities for children to rest and for quiet time or occasional TV.
We do have cocker spaniel dogs, 2 cats and rabbits. The Cats tend to keep away when little people are around and Rabbits are in their own enclosure in the garden which we can visit and feed with carrots and the children love to go in a see them!.

My Experience
I have over 20 Years of experience working with children.
I have worked in a Private Day Nursery with children age 0-5.
I have also worked at a Primary school as a Teaching Assistant with a mixture of ages,
My Children grown up or are all at Full time education they are boys 23, 21, 17 16 year old girl. I also have a grandson born December 2023.

My daughter went to Claire’s 2 days a week until leaving to start preschool in January.
Claire is so flexible and able to accommodate any changes. No two days were ever the same as they went out and about on walks, to different parks and softplay every day, come rain or shine! They also did lots of creative activities and my daughter came home with lovely homemade bits for Mother’s Day etc. Claire always seemed to go above and beyond and even though my daughter enjoys preschool she mentions Claire and the other children on a regular basis and has great memories of her time there.
Will definitely be speaking to Claire should I need childcare again in the future.

Found Claire through this website and was quite thankful that I found her as I was only looking for one day a week childcare and that was proving quite difficult which is understandable! Lovely setting to start off with really genuine and happy that my son was going there once a week. I didn't have to worry. My son did some nice things whilst in her care. After my son became unwell for a few weeks, Claire said that she was taking a step back from childminding after injury and not doing it anymore and unfortunately I feel that wasn't the case and her business page said otherwise! Dishonest towards the end unfortunately, real shame! Can't comment on the food as my son took a packed lunch!

Claire is the nicest childminder we have ever had, we had some bad experiences in past and I was nervous using another childminder but Claire made me comfortable from the moment I have met her, she is friendly, always smiling and pleased to see our girls, the girls both love going to Claire's even though they only go in holidays as both at school now, Claire treats the children like her own, give them individual attention, praising them and making them all to feel special, are girls cannot wait to go back and find out what are they doing that day, Claire makes each day exciting with loads of outings and activities planned, I have built great friendship with Claire and completely trust her with our girls, she is THE BEST, thank you so much Claire

My daughter has been with Claire since May 2017 and as a first time mother, the thought of returning to work and leaving my child with a non family member worried me, however, after doing some thorough research I found Claire on this site.
When I visited Claire at home, I instantly had a warm welcome, certainly a home from home environment, her own 4 children were very polite too, which made me feel at ease and confident that I had made the right choice.
My daughter has come on in leaps and bounds with her development and this is through interaction with others, activities and events my daughter attends with Claire.
My daughter feels very comfortable and happy around Claire, her family and the other children. When dropped off she walks straight to the play room. I feel happy she is happy and makes my time away stress free, which is how it should be.
To sum it up, Claire is amazing and I would recommend her to everyone, she is kind, caring, firm but fair, just what every child needs and I can not thank her and her family enough for all they do! Claire, you're 10 out of 10, keep doing what you're doing xxx

I contacted Claire recently on very short notice at that and she has been amazing from the start. Very professional and experienced at what she does. She asked all the right questions, made us feel at ease with a settling in visit and our little one has never felt so much at home away from home. A little text and photo during the day to keep the mind at rest...Brilliant!
Thank you Claire and your beautiful family for making us feel so welcome.

Claire has looked after my boys for the last year and they have never been so happy. They have been taken out to a variety of places such as farm parks, toddlers and soft play. They always come home with lots of arts and crafts and I am happy that they meet new friends and have had a covered lots of different activities they would never normally get the chance to do. Claire has been very understanding and has cared for one of my little boy from 2 months old. We will miss Claire as my children have become very attached and would recommend Claire to anyone looking for childcare.

My daughter was with Claire for a couple of months and what can I say, I wish I had found her earlier. Claire really helped out when we were let down, she took Chloe on at short notice for a couple of months.
Chloe could have not been happier, she loved being with Claire and always came home with stories about what she had done in the day, pictures and crafts she had done.
Claire took Chloe on outings to toddler group, soft play among other. In the few months Claire had Chloe we noticed her confidence and development excel.
We would recommend Claire to anybody, she creates a real home from home environment aswell as being educational and aiding a child’s development. We would contact Claire if we ever needed childcare again in the future, we believe you could not find better.

My daughter has had a fantastic time in Claire's care. Her family are all lovely and we will miss Claire loads. Would really recommend as my Daughter was very happy.

Edward had his last day with Claire just a few days ago. in the few weeks she had him he had more than enough fun for a child twice his age! both my husband and i were completely happy with Claire's routine with Edward and if we weren't moving, we wouldnt have stopped!
