About Me
I previously worked for Metropolitan police for 16 years, when I decided during my time there to start A family. I took to parenthood more than I could have ever imagined. I enjoy being around my own and other children, and decided that childcare was ideally suited to me. I therefore took the childcare qualifications required, and have been childminding for 10 years now, but have 14 years of experience with my own children included.
I’m an Ofsted GOOD registered childminder. I have availability now Monday - thursday. I can work term time only or all year round. I don't charge any extra for keeping the space open during term time only.
I attend ROBIN HOOD INFANTS AND JUNIORS, as well as THOMAS WALL NURSERY for drop off and collections and have some availability for those too.
My Experience
I have grown up in a family of lots of children, and with my mum who is a registered childminder still in the area. So although I wasn't a childminder, I was always around the environment and like to think I have gained extended knowledge through this.
I have a 14 year old girl, a 10 year old girl and a 7 year old son. I have lots of life experiences within childcare and caring for my own children and like to think this speaks volumes for the experience I have.
I’m a fun parent and childminder and believe I’m quite easy going. The children I look after come into our home and are made to feel very welcome and become one of the family.
They can play alongside one another or with my own children, in the house or out in garden.
We have many toys, for their enjoyment but also to assist with learning the national curriculum too.
We also have some down time where they can enjoy reading, arts and crafts, and watching movies.
In the garden we have it equipped with many garden toys, ride ons, bikes, scooters, water play, sand pits, football goals, basketball nets, a play house and trampolines, plus many more. We regularly have the paddling pool out in the summer too.
We enjoy visiting play groups, farms, parks, soft plays and many more activities.
We are a fun family of 5, and if you come to me for your childcare I truly believe you can rest assured that you’ll have a happy child whilst you are at work in a home from home environment ??
My Qualifications
Early years Childcare qualification, paediatric first aid course and dbs certificates.
I have extended my knowledge taking further qualifications with a large portfolio of certificates in my extra courses.
My Availability
I’m available before and after school or full days, part time, term time only or all year.
