About Me
Hello, my name is Joanna, i am 37 and i live in Hordle, i have lived locally my entire life and am very fond and proud of this area. As a devoted single mother of two sons, who are now 19 and 20. I am the middle of 3 children. I’ve always been motivated to not only provide for my family but also to show by example that hard work and determination allow you to achieve your goals. My home life has always been dominated by raising my two sons who are now young adults. I enjoy keeping fit, partaking in a once weekly exercise class as well as enjoying country walks through the New Forest with my dogs. I spend the majority of my non working time with friends, family and their young children. I have always been keen on arts, crafts, music and textiles. I feel the key to happy children, is fun, exploration and new experiences. My career has been in teaching and I hold a teaching degree aswell as first aid knowledge and full DBS checks. I also hold a full driving licence
My Experience
Following a series of part-time and evening educational courses I achieved a Bachelor of Arts Upper Second-Class Honours Degree in Teaching and Learning in the summer of 2015. For the last 12 years I’ve been employed in full-time positions, within two settings, aswell as within two different roles, this was within an infant school. One as a Special Needs Assistant and the other as an Early Interventions Support Worker. I am currently working at a junior school covering teacher abscence, sats preparation in year 6 and ppa cover across the school.
I’ve always been passionate about working with children and young people, and to-date my employment has included pupils with additional/ special educational needs. My roles as an LSA gave me a wide range of experience working in all key stages within the primary phase with a predominant focus on the EYFS. I’ve been able to expand my experience by implementing skills learnt during my academic studies.
I’m a compassionate person which has driven me to want to better the experiences and education of young people. Having achieved a life goal of gaining a degree I feel I am ready and excited by a fresh challenge and I feel my previous diligence and dedication to both my employment and education whilst also bringing up two sons is a good indictment of my work ethic and I feel I still have much more to offer, I think I have the attributes, experience and drive to lead and manage all situations and feel that nannying will be a rewarding and homely environment to allow me to use my experience and understanding. Having a broad amount of friends with young children, i feel that a nannying position would be an ideal way to continue what i love, working with children and an oppurtunity for others children to have a large social circle.
It would need to be in an employed basis (nanny tax) not self employed.

My Availability
