About Me
I am an ofsted registered Childminder based in the Clayton area and I throughly enjoy what I do. I have 2 children of my own who are now 11 and 9 years old.
I offer a friendly home from home setting with an enclosed garden and well resourced playroom area. I provide home cooked healthy snacks and meals and can accommodate dietary requirements.
I adhere to the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage framework and deliver the curriculum by providing a variety of activities and experiences including;
-messy play
-arts & crafts
-baking
-sensory play
-weekly outings to local playgroups, park and the library.
In my setting children are encouraged to learn through play, make friends and have fun.
My Experience
I became a Childminder in September 2017 and within that time I have looked after children of various ages, seeing some of them from babies through to school age.
Previous to that I also have the experience of being a mum to my own to children.
My Qualifications
I hold all the necessary qualifications required to provide a childcare service.
-Peadiatric first aid
-Food Hygiene level 2
-Safeguarding Children (lead practitioner)
-Enhanced DBS check
-Introduction to Childminding provided by Bradford Council.
I continually attend further training and weekly webinars to expand my knowledge further and ensure I am up to date with my current legislation.
Previous to my childminding career I gained a BA (Hons) degree in an unrelated subject.
My Availability
My setting is open 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday all year round.
I provide full and part time flexible childcare to pre school aged children as well as school holiday and wrap around care to school aged children. This includes school drop off and collection to Clayton St John C of E school.
I currently have free 2, 3 and 4 year old funded places available.
I welcome term time only contracts as well as all year round.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
I charge an hourly rate of £4.50
My fees include all meals, snacks and outings.
I accept payment through the government's tax-free childcare scheme.

I have known Gemma for many years now and she is a genuine person. My daughter only recently joined Gemma for after school and school holidays. My daughter gives me nothing but great feedback about her stays with Gemma. I would highly recommend this setting for any child.

My 2 year old started with Gemma 3 months ago, she is quite shy but has developed a great relationship with Gemma, she is developing so well with the activity’s set and the communication from Gemma is clear and consistent with us and with my child. The wide range of food provided is healthy and child centred. Would recommend to anyone looking for a home from home setting.
