My Experience

I have been a babysitter/ nanny since I was 14, I was the sole carer for a boy with special needs (aged 3) between the ages of 15 - 19, as well as caring for newborn babies and my nieces and nephews who are all under 8, and forming a close friendship with my step niece who is now 17.

After finishing school I worked as a live-in au pair in Madrid for one year, looking after two children aged 2 and 4, from morning to night, making their meals, cleaning the house, speaking with their teachers, taking them on the metro to doctors appointments, helping with homework, as well as teaching them English! Which they were able to speak fluently in a matter of months.

I had a very traditional childhood of always playing outside with the animals, the bugs, getting plenty of fresh air, and getting good and muddy when required! and so I try and implement that into how I childcare. I think it is important for children to be creative, to be outside and at one with nature, building dens and forts and reading books, try and enjoy being children, as it goes before you know it.
(However I will of course fit in with how you require your children to be cared for)

My Qualifications

I have not studied any kind of childcare. I stayed in school till A-level and then moved abroad to au pair. I’ve always learnt on the job!

My Availability

I am currently looking for full time four + days a week but may be able to increase this in the future, preferably not live in as such. I live just by the Royal Crescent.
And weekends off would be a blessing but not essential. Happy to do babysitting too.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)

I do not drive, so hopefully walk to location is favourable. I'm looking for £13+ an hour
