About Me
I have been a childcare professional for 23 years. Seventeen of these I was employed in the school environment, as a level 2 teaching assistance. Working with the teacher and supporting the children, in both the classroom and outside school activities, with children from reception through to year six.
For the last 6 years I have been employed in the position of a nanny for several local families. I find the role incredibly rewarding coming alongside children, supporting their families, keeping up with routines and watching them grow into unique individuals.
I find it easy to engage with children of all ages, making my time with them enjoyable, by creating activities that are stimulating and fun.
My Experience
With my experience of working in schools and qualifications, I am able to support with the child’s after school learning, in listening to them read and guidance with homework if needed.
I have supported families with children that have had additional needs such as, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and behavioural issues.
My role has also involved the school runs, preparing an evening meal for the children and taking them to activities and after school clubs.
