About Me
Hi, my name is Kelly Bennett. I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I live with my husband and 2 children. I live in Orpington, very close to Chelsfield & Orpington train stations.
Deciding who is the best person to look after your little one whilst you’re at work is not easy. I know how important it is to find someone who you trust and feel comfortable about leaving your children with.
My home is a safe, nurturing and child friendly and I have many resources for all ages and levels of development as well as dedicated spaces for the children to play, eat and sleep. I have a very large garden with many outdoor toys including a swing, slide and a netted bouncy castle in the summer. On cold or rainy days there are lots of indoor fun activities such as, arts & crafts, Play-Doh, baking, dress-up and role play resources for children to choose from. I care for children as if they were my own.
We will regularly visit toddler groups in the local area giving the children the opportunity to socialise with others whilst learning new skills. We are also lucky enough to live close by to parks, playgrounds, petting farms and nature trails.
I follow the EYFS guidelines and provide activities that follow the 7 key areas of learning & development
Both my husband and I have enhanced DBS checks

CYPOP5 Childminding course provided by Bromley local authorities.
Paediatric First Aid certificate
Safeguarding level 2

My hours of work are 8am - 6pm, however an earlier start time of 7.30am can be arranged if required.
I offer before and after school care – The Highway Primary school & Charterhouse preschool.

Kelly is our before school childminder for my (soon to be) eight year old and from September my son too. Kelly is caring approachable and pragmatic and she takes my daughter to school in the mornings. She has been flexible and helped us when we needed urgent care as our daughter secured a last minute place at the School where Kelly does drop offs. Our daughter enjoys going to Kelly's and she does various activities, colouring, reading and chatting to the other school children.
Kelly provides healthy nutritious breakfasts and has suggested to alternatives when my daughter was being a bit fussy. Kelly has provided us with updates and clear guidance and policies and kept in contact throughout lockdown. She is kind and caring and we would highly recommend her.
