About Me
ACCREDITED CHILDMINDER. I am a mother of three and married to Paul. I have been childminding for 17 years now and enjoyed every moment of it. We enjoy lots of outdoor activities and like to make the most of each day. We're a fun family and enjoy sharing all we do with others. We have 2 dogs and and teach the children how to be kind to others by sharing our pet experiences with them.
I like to make good use of the other settings around me such as soft play, toddlers and the library to give children a varied learning opportunity. We make regular trips to Sanders park, lickey hills and other local country parks
My Facilities
We have a purpose built nursery added onto the side of the house.
There is free flow access to the secure back garden so children can have the freedom they need to explore under the watchful eye of a qualified member of staff.
The nursery consists of a large playroom which can be split depending on ages and activities during the day. We have recently had a garden room built which is purposely built for all year round messy play such as sand, water, painting and crafting meaning crawling babies have the opportunity to explore their surrounding safely whilst the older children don't have to worry about making a mess and whilst being engrossed in what they are doing.
Children have their own toilet and there is a separate nappy changing area to reduce cross infection.
My Experience
I have been childminding as a registered childminder with OFSTED for 17 years and can obtain references for those that wish to see them. Having nursed for 8 years caring for other peoples children came second nature to me. Most of the children in my care have been with me from young babies until they go to school.
Observations and planning are done on a regular basis and your child's development is monitored carefully. This enables us to help each individual child to reach their milestones.
I work with 2 registered, CRB cleared and NVQ qualified assistant who are my Mom and my daughter as well as another level 3 apprentice, a real family home from home setting, so your child can get valuable one to one care as well as group activities which is essential in every child's development. Extra hands means extra time to arrange fun things for the children so they are always occupied and happy.
Every member of staff is first aid trained and hold current safeguarding certificates.

My little boy has been going to Clare since Sep last year and we couldn't be more pleased. I am a first time mum and was nervous about leaving him but all those fears disappeared after his first day! The facilities are fantastic it may as well be a nursery, the staff and Clare are brilliant and my little boy has thrived in their care. We are truly grateful to have found Clare and feel very lucky that our son gets to go here. We just hope she has a spot free when we have our next one ????
