About Me
Hi my name is Dianne, I am a registered childminder living close to the centre of Urmston.
As an Ofsted registered childminder I am required to deliver quality early education and childcare experiences to all children. I provide this by following The Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS).
I have recently been inspected by Ofsted and have received Outstanding in all areas of my provision.
Children learn by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking both indoors and outside.
The purpose built playroom contains a large selection of toys and learning resources. The interactive smart board is an excellent tool which helps to enhance the learning and development of the children by using various educational software packages.
I have a good sized enclosed garden with a selection of outdoor toys for the children to use.
There is also a toilet and nappy change area.
I strive to offer experiences, activities and opportunities that provide the best possible learning outcomes for each individual child in my care.
I place a particular importance on establishing and maintaining good working relationships with parents. Working in partnership enables continuity of care and ensures the individual needs of the children are met.
I plan activities termly, this is subject to change according to children’s needs and interest. I actively encourage the children and parents to share special occasions and any particular interest at home with me.
Some of the activities I provide include arts and crafts/ cooking/ role play/ singing/messy play/sand and water play.
We regularly attend play groups, soft play areas and libraries, amongst many other planned outings.
This ensures the children in my care have the opportunity to socialise, build confidence and further
develop their language and communication skills.
My Experience
I am a mother of three children, two boys 24 and 20 and my daughter who is 12. This has helped me to develop many of the skills which I think, have helped me to become a good childminder.
I have looked after many of my friends children although not in a professional capacity.
I chaperone small groups of children when my daughters dance school put on their annual summer show. This involves not only keeping children safe but being able to communicate with a range of ages and keeping them entertained.
My Qualifications
I am committed to my continuous professional development and keeping up to date with all my training. To date I have completed the following courses.

My Availability
My normal working hours are 7.30 am – 6.30pm.
I currently have full time and part time places available.
I provide school drop off at Highfield Primary School in Urmston and pick up at St Marys Primary School in Davyhulme

Di is absolutely amazing, from the very first moment we took our son there we felt 100% confidence. My boy has learned and grown so much thanks to her amazing work and he loves her loads too. The best choice we ever made.

My daughter has been with Di for almost 18months and she loves it. Di picks my daughter up every day from school, helps her with her reading and homework as well as giving her a safe, relaxing and fun environment. I couldn't imagine her being with anyone else and it is reassuring knowing she's in a safe and loving environment when I have to work.
