About Me
Hi, I'm Kelly. I am married to Karl and we have a daughter called Violet who is 13 months old.
We live in Emerson Valley, Milton Keynes. I am very close to both Ducklings Pre-School and Howe Park Schoo, so am able to do school drop-offs and pick-ups easily and on foot. I am also within walking distance of various community facilities including a fantastic childrens centre, various parks and lots of open space. I enjopy getting out and about with my own daughter so would like to continue this with the children I care for.
I have a large playroom with a wide selection of toys for all ages and a large enclosed garden. I offer healthy, well balanced, home cooked meals and snacks.
I follow the EYFS Curriculum and aim to provide a safe, enjoyable and educational environment for children to grow and thrive. I can offer help and support with homework to school age children.
My Experience
I have 11 years experience in childcare and teaching and am fully qualified to care for children of all ages.
I have worked within nurseries in Milton Keynes, as a childminder and most recently as a Childcare and Education lecturer at a local college. I taught students on all childcare course from level 1 to level 3 and I covered all aspects of childcare from development to curriculum.
I have experience of caring for children with aditional needs, from Downs Syndrome to severe excema. I also have experience of caring for children with additional dietary requirements and am fully able to cater for this within the home environment as all food provided will be home cooked.
My Qualifications
I have the following qualifications:
BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies
NVQ in Childcare Management
Diploma in homebased childcare
PTLLS (Preparing to teach in the lifelong scetor)
DTLLS Yr 1 (Diploma in teaching in the lifelong sector)
Peadiactric First Aid
Food Hygeine
I have also attended courses on the EYFS and Child protection
My Availability
I am avaiable to care for children from 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Earlier and later times are avaiable, as requested.
I can also, in some circumstances pick up children from home and drop off home in the evening if time and travel are concerns.
I currently have both full and part time places available.
