About Me
I am 41 years old, bilingual (Italian and English) with dual citizenship, and a small business owner as well as a devoted childcare professional.
I am a compassionate and responsible individual, with lots of patience, warmth, empathy, energy and creativity, as well as a genuine passion for childcare. I believe in gentle and empowering methods, and am very outdoorsy, though I also love arts and crafts, indoor activities, stories and songs.
My Experience
I have been working professionally in childcare since October 2017, as well as au pair experience (including care of a newborn) earlier in life.
My longest position to date has been with the most wonderful child, who I took care of in Kentish Town for six and a half years, starting when she was eight months old. We enjoyed every activity under the sun together, weathering any storms that arose and creating countless joyful memories together.
Both before this position and during it (after my hours with this child dropped when she started school) I have also had extensive experience with children of all ages, but in particular with babies, including newborn twins.
I am currently in between permanent positions as this family no longer needs me, and am looking for babysitting, ad hoc nannying or temporary nanny work, while I process the end of this position and focus on my small business for a while. I would consider a permanent part time position for the right family.
I am happy to work in Hertfordshire, but equally happy to commute to London, which I have been doing for years, for bookings of at least four hours. I would request an additional £2 per hour for work in London.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in devised theatre and creative writing, an OCN in baby care, an enhanced DBS, and a paediatric first aid certificate. I am fully vaccinated.

Jennie has done some ad hoc babysitting for us and has been great with all 3 of my children - 0, 5 and 7 years old.
She is calm, friendly and warm.
I really like the way she speaks to my older boys, answering their countless questions and taking the time to read with them. My baby has taken a real shine to Jennie and I think Jennie would be a lovely nanny for a family, especially with a baby, as she's great at singing lullabies, playing on the floor etc.
