About Me

My name is Katrina or Kat..I don't mind either. I am married to Graham and have 4 lovely children. Charlotte(22) Dylan(20) and Eleanor(16) and Freya (12).

I am a very approachable, caring person and love helping children reach there full potential as they grow and develop in a fun, playful environment. On a personal note I also have brightly coloured hair, which all my children and parents love, it reflects the kind of person I am. But always the professional.

I am an OFSTED registered childminder and I follow the E.Y.F.S and Every Child Matters, which are national standards, and can be found on their sites too.

I have been childminding for 12 years and on my first inspection from OFSTED I recieved GOOD. Just before Christmas 2015 and again in April 2018 I had my last ofsted inspection and maintained my GOOD grade. All details can be seen on the OFSTED website.

I have been working with children of all ages and abilities for the last 20 years

I am also a member of the National Child Minding Association (PACEY) and carry there full legal and public liability.

15/30hrs childcare for 9 months+ 2,3 and 4 yr old children who are eligible for the funding can also be provided by myself. you will need to contact your local family support team to check for eligibility, and they will confirm by letter to you personally.

I am level 2 qualified in B.S.L,

level 2 food hygiene and have

pediatric first aid and Safe guarding.



I realise I carry a huge responsibility to care for your child and my own children have been to childminders themselves, so I am aware of the concerns and queries parents may have.

I aim to provide first class care in which your child can feel happy, safe and secure, I am a firm believer that kids should be kids and give them the tools to be able to play, learn and develop at there own pace while having lots of fun and being creative.

I love the outdoors and taking my own kids out to explore the world around them, whether it be a trip to the local park, a walk in the woods or just making hideaways in the garden out of sheets or going on a bug hunt.

I promote a healthy atmosphere and encourage physical activities and healthy eating habits.

I also Follow a more gentle parenting approach for those that choose to baby wear, breast feed, baby led weaning and cloth bum. I will fully support your needs and will always do my best to adapt to every child's routine.



Until 2018 I have also been a museum assistant at Nottingham Castle, and love to incorporate my experience in both my jobs. Which I feel strengthens my knowledge and understanding and helps encourage and nurture education with children too. I do regular outings to museums and other places of interest, which helps capture the imagination of our little people, and gives them new avenues to explore the world around them.

I am a professional childcare practitioner and educator, with fun being at the forefront for our young people of the future.
