About Me
My name is Catharine. I am an Ofsted registered childminder working in the upper Lincoln Area. I have had this as my career now for several years and absolutely love every minute of my working day. I pride myself on offering excellent home from home care for the children, a support system for families when needed and flexibility within my working week to ensure that life is made easier for the parents I work with.
I now have two members of staff who work alternative shifts, Nicola who is a mum of two children and who has excellent knowledge and understanding in Autism, holds a level 3 childcare qualification and is DBS checked and my husband Craig who is with me the majority of the time, is working towards his level 2 in childcare, is DBS checked and holds a full paediatric first aid qualification.
Myself and Craig have two children of our own, one who is diagnosed ADHD so together as a team we have good knowledge through qualifications but also experience in dealing with children who have additional needs.
The service we provide involves going above and beyond for all children. My aim is to ensure that all children are school ready for when they leave my setting and start mainstream education. That they develop at their own pace in a fun and loving environment! We support each child with their areas of struggle and we celebrate every milestone that is achieved.
Our weeks consist of days within the setting focusing on our main areas of development through play, trips to local nature walks, parks, the farm, Bransby horses and we even have our own allotment where the children enjoy playing in nature and planting our own vegetables.
We pick up and drop off at Lincoln Castle Academy, Mount Street Academy and Westgate Academy.
We cannot collect from any other schools as we have commitments within these 3 schools.
My Experience
I have been childminding now for 7 years. I started my business when my own two boys were babies, they have now progressed to school Jack being 8 and Jayden being 7years old.
I have worked with many families and children over the years, learning how each child has their own unique personalities and needs. Some needs have required additional training which I am always willing to learn so happy to complete any courses to gain the skills and knowledge required.

My Availability
My setting is open Monday to Friday offering full time childcare to those who require. We open at 7am and close at 5.30pm each day.
We offer both term time and adhoc childcare. Opening 47 weeks of the year.
Due to staffing sick closures are very minimal and the setting is only really affected if it is myself that is Ill and the main childminder of the setting.

Home from home.. Catharine's really lovely, and the home setting is fab. My daughter goes after school and she always comes out with a smile on her face, having had fun. Catharine's been really accommodating and supportive and it's really helped with the transition into a new job- for me and Stella.

Catharine looks after both my children before and after school, she has a home from home environment making my children feel welcomed and comfortable in their new environment. I have recently started studying at uni and Catherine has been super flexible to support me in my new adventure, ensuring that as a mum I can rest assured that my children are will cared for. Catharine is great at communicating with me to ensure all the children’s needs are met 🙂xx
