I am an ofsted registered childminder based in Middleton. I have a foundation degree in early years childhood studies and 17 years experience of working with young children.
My Experience
In my 17 years of childcare I have always worked with EYFS children. I have a great knowledge and understanding of how children learn and develop and how to help them to do this. Children learn best through play and experiencing new things first hand. I take the children out to a variety of places; walks, parks, woodland adventures, toddler/playgroups, occasional soft play trips, museums to name a few.
I take great pride in my work and continually try to better myself undertaking training and peer observations with other childminders.

My son Alex was with Jen twice a week since April 2023. She is very friendly and welcoming and I never had even one day when Alex was unhappy to go to her. Alex did lot of indoors and outdoors activities (playing jigsaw, matching colours, counting, playing with water outside etc.) Jen also took Alex to the toddlers group and daily sent photos and updates on how the day has been.Alex is 3 now and the only reason he doesn’t go to Jen anymore is because he now attends full time preschool, however I will be in touch as my younger son will go to her from January. I feel 💯 % confident leaving also my younger son in her care.

Jen was my sons childminder from him being ten months old. He is now two and a half, and the only reason he doesn't go to Jen anymore is because he goes to the schools nursery where I work (I get a good discount on the fees). Even with this being the case, I can't tell you how hard the decision was to move him on from Jen! He was given the highest standard of stimulative, child lead education, with all the love and care he would receive at home. Jen provides a safe and fun environment for him to explore and develop, helping me to raise a happy and confident little boy.
I always felt very at ease leaving my child with Jen, he loved going every single day and I could see how happy and comfortable he felt in her home. I highly recommend Jen. Always approachable, happy and kind!

Couldn’t Find A Better Childminder If I Tried. My Little Girl Was Effected Socially Due Too Being Weeks Old When We Got Put Into Lockdown. Due Too Struggling Too Socialise, I Thought Too Try Nursery/ Childminder.
Since My Little Girl Has Been Coming Too Jen. She’s Come On Leaps& Bounds An Even Waves Too The Postman. I Couldn’t Thank Jen Enough For All She Does, She’s Truly Amazing! She’s Reassuring, Caring And Generally Has Her Heart In Her Job - It’s Clear Too See. From Her Very First Settling In Session, Jen Keeps Up With Communication An Up Too Date Photos& How She Is. My Little Girls Loves Going Too Jens& Can’t Get Out The Car Fast Enough When We Pull Up Outside. Which In It’s Self Shows How Much She Loves It There. All She Does For The Children She Cares For Is Amazing. I’m So Glad I Found You!💓

I've been sending my son to jen for almost a year and he loves it his development has improved so much and I can always tell he has enjoyed his time with her.
I have moved quite far from jen since we joined but I travel the extra distance to still send my son to her as she's definitely worth it. She genuinely cares about all the children and it shows so much with everything she does. I was super nervous about leaving him with someone else but all that went when I met jen. 100% would recommend her to anyone.

We moved our daughter to Jen after she had a hard time settling in to nursery and honestly it was the best decision. I can go to work and not worry because I know she is in safe hands. Jen sends us photos of her during the day with text updates, and does a daily diary. The daily diary has all the specifics I’d want to know- what she did, what she ate/drank or what she offered, if and when if she has any medications/teething relief , times of nappy checks and changes, & nap times. My little one refused to eat or drink at nursery . Jen has been so adaptable and tried so many things to get her to eat and drink. And her efforts have paid off. Jen pays attention to the details and makes adaptations to care for Olivia’s individual needs everyday. Jen has also been so professional and so so friendly- no question or discussion is too much. She works together with us to meet the same goal. I’m honestly so grateful Jen is looking after her.

I have had such a fantastic experience using Jen for my childcare. As a first time mum of an 8 month old I was extremely anxious of leaving my LO with someone I didnt know. Jen has made this experience much easier for both me and my LO. She arranged some settling sessions for us, free of charge. My LO took to Jen straight away. She is friendly, happy and loving. Each time my LO attends daycare, Jen puts a summary of the day in the bag so that I'm made aware of all the things my LO has been up to, including what she eats which Jen provides. Jen sends pictures to me of my LO which helps me immensely. If I ever have any questions or am unsure of something, Jen will help me and provide all the answers i need. I really couldn't recommend her enough. Thankyou Jen xx
