My Summary
About Me
About me and My ethos
I aim to give children and Babies opportunities and experiences to make them limitless learners! Nurture their curiosity, scaffold their creativity, grow their skills, independence and confidence. I want them to be, live, breathe and think outside the box. Building sound foundations for their lifelong learning.
I have been so interested in child development since my pregnancy with my first daughter in 2005 and I continue to enjoy learning more and expanding my knowledge to support the children and families in my care. I absolutely love my job as an Ofsted Registered Childminder ( I have been Childminding since 2008), being able to use my skills, experience and knowing that I make a positive difference working with children and their families is amazing!
We like to be out and about. There is something magical about being outside! So many first-hand investigations, discoveries, and learning to be had just by going for a walk!. We love forest school experiences they enable children to grow in confidence as a result of the freedom, time, and space they are given in their learning. This allows them to demonstrate independence at each individual child's rate.
We go on outings and visits to different places such as Parks, Farms, Libraries, Wildlife Parks, and Toddler groups.
I like to give the children and babies experiences to enrich and extend their understanding, learning, and development. These experiences are a mix of Practitioner and child lead learning, they include cooking, growing and eating fruit and veg, messy and sensory play, painting puddles, all sorts of mark-making, dancing, lots of singing (and signing- Makaton), stories, music and much much more.
All children are included in all activities. I consider each individual child and what they will take, learn, build upon, extend and develop from their experience.
The best bit is that we have fun every day! having fun and making memories to learn and reflect on means that we are winning!
I learn from the children every day, who after all this time continue to inspire and amaze me.
