My Summary
About Me
I am an Ofsted registered nanny.
A little about me: I have 2 beautiful boys, born 2018 and 2021 and we have a beautiful dog, Bonnie who is part of our family. I love the outdoors, being out in nature, exploring new places, keeping fit and eating healthy. I got into childcare I'm 2018 to work around my son and haven't looked back.
I get so much joy working with children. Each day is different and exciting and it brings the inner child out in me too, life shouldn't be serious and with children it's not.
Watching these little people grow, watching their personalities develop and to know I am apart of their learning process really is magical.
During my day to day routine with children I encourage as much learning as possible. I also have lots of educational and fun resources out for children to explore In their interests.
I believe there is a lot of learning through story time and songs. I encourage sensory and messy play, arts and crafts, imagination and role play and physical activity. I do trips to the farm regularly including trips to play groups, the library, national trust places and walks in the woods.
I think it is important to be outdoors, going for walks, discovering nature and breathing in fresh air every day, so each morning we will be out on adventures.
I also encourage mindfulness, to sit and close our eyes, what can we hear, see, feel, focus on being present an use our senses and using deep breathes if were feeling overwhelmed.
For childminding: I also do observations on their development and end of term reviews so you can see how they are progressing. It also helps me plan appropriate play tailored to their developmental needs and how I can best encourage them.
I am always encouraging and positive, being a good role model is very important. I like to think of my place as a home from home feel. It's calming, inviting and fun.

Scarlett has cared for our now 2year old for just over a year. Our daughter adores Scarlett, both her children and Bonnie the dog, she talks about her when at home and is always excited and happy to be going to see her. Scarlett is active and always keeps our daughter busy, she gets her out exploring and encourages her to try new things. We love the care and passion we have seen and would recommend Scarlett to anyone looking for childcare 😊
Scarlett has been my 9yr daughters after school carer for a few months. We love her. My daughter is very comfortable with her. Scarlett picks her up after school. They do homework. They do activities at home. She is caring and loving.
