My wife and I have two children (boy aged 7, girl aged 5). Our current nanny is due to commence maternity leave and we are looking for a nanny from 18 November, at least until she is scheduled to return on 1 May 2023. There is a chance that our nanny may not look to return post the completion of her maternity leave, which may mean the role is available longer term, however we are assuming that is not the case, and this role is therefore advertised as a fixed term contract.
My Requirements
The position is advertised on an annual salary equivalent of £28,000 (pro-rated for the length of the contract term). We are looking for flexibility of working hours depending on whether it is school term time or holidays. In term time we would ask for wrap-around care at the beginning and the end of the school day (ideally 7am-9am and 3.30pm-7pm). In school holidays, we would ask for the nanny to work full time, 7am-7pm, 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday), plus one evening a week (ideally a Thursday). We are willing to pay a quarterly discretionary bonus depending on performance and attendance record.
Salary can be paid monthly or weekly depending on the applicant’s preference.
In addition to the above regular working hours, we would also be open to discussing babysitting (in term time) on a regular basis, if of interest.
Holiday entitlement is 20 days per annum equivalent (pro-rated for the contract term), plus bank holidays.
Full drivers license and DBS checks required. Access to family car will be provided during the working day.
Although we are doubtless biased(!) we have two wonderful, very chatty and happy children, who enjoy a range of activities including outdoor pursuits, arts and crafts etc. We are really looking forward to welcoming the right candidate into our home!
