About Me
Welcome to The Young Ones childcare , I am an Ofsted Outstanding registered childminder with many years of experience in childcare.
We now have 2 childcare businesses and soon to be 3 all in the South Green and Great Burstead area.

My name is Sue, we are a family business, my daughter Aimee and I are childminders, My eldest daughter Zoe and my husband Paul are the managers of our Out of school care setting, where we drop off and collect children from St Peters school in Billericay.
We are opening a Preschool this September 2024, based at our OOSC setting in Great Burstead, 2 minute drive from our childminding setting.
We are taking children from 2 years old to 5 years old.
We will be opening Monday, Wednesday and Friday to start with, offering term time only and wrap around care if needed, as well as a preschool day 8.45-2.45pm.
We have an enriched curriculum to offer within a lovely bright hall with a great outdoor space set in a rural location offering forestry school activities and a relaxed and sensory feel to the environment.
The Young Ones is based in a log cabin situated in a large safe and secure garden based in the south green area, Billericay. I offer a home from home environment, with a wide range of resources that cater for children from the ages of birth to 5 years old.
The children have a fabulous time while here at our setting as we love to get messy, learn new things and explore many new places. The children learn through play and parents are updated on a regular basis.

My Experience
I have been in childcare for 35 years, a first aider, qualified nursery nurse, level 3 in Safeguarding, SENco and Behaviour trained , ICO registered and been a nursery manager for 7 years.
Over the 35 years of experience I have cared for twins, triplets, mothers help, special needs children, nanny and a nursery manager with an Outstanding inspection.
The child-minding setting has been running now for 6 years and we recently got graded as OUSTANDING
My Qualifications
NNEB( nursery nursing education board), English Speaking Board, Level 3 safeguarding officer, Behaviour and SENco trained, First Aider
