My Experience

I've been caring for children in both educational and home environments for over 30 years. I started as a sole charge nanny caring for 2 young children at the the age of 16, though I have had many more since then, my roles consisted of day to day care of children rangeing from birth to 8, including, health and hygiene, cooking well balanced and nutritious meals, creating a stimulating learning environment for children to explore and develop, I organised numerous creative clubs over the years, either in the home or elsewhere for my local parents and toddlers/pre schoolers including the children I cared for, helping to develop all areas of learning through play.

I'm still in touch with most of my ex babies (some now in their 20's). I've worked in many private and mainstream schools ( as a montessori teacher in London) also in teaching assistant roles in various private nurseries and mainstream schools. In my continuing career with children and also enjoyed 7 years as a private maternity nurse (enabling and teaching new parents all aspects of care of both themselves and baby in the first few weeks home from hospital) establishing feeding and sleeping routines whilst simply enabling much needed rest and recovery and helping older siblings through the sometimes tricky transition of welcoming a wee brother or sister.

More recently I became a registered childminder ( took a year out when I had my now three year old) I pick up from netherton infant and nursery and offer care throughout the day. Please call for availability.

I am dbs'd and first aid trained as well as having a qualification in newborn care, I have a level 3 teaching assistant qualification, I'm also makaton trained. Please dont hesitate to contact me if you have further questions. References can be forwarded on request.

My childcare career spans 30 years and those years are built up of extensive experience in both private and educational settings, I teach all areas of learning inline with the EYFS statutory framework, creating a fun and stimulating environment in which to learn.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
• Childminding from £4.50 per hour

£4.50 per hour including meals (breakfast, lunch and home cooked nutritious meals) healthy snacks will also be supplied daily.
