About Me
My name is Rachel and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in the Tavistock area of Fleet.
My main aim for the childcare setting is to create a home from home in which your child can learn, play and grow. I offer a safe, secure and happy environment for your child to thrive within.
My setting offers equal opportunities to all regardless of culture, gender, language, racial origin, ability, family structure and religion.
I am dedicated, enthusiastic and caring so if you are in need of care for your little ones please get in touch.
My Experience
I have a Year 1 aged daughter and a three year old son so have just experienced the first six years of motherhood. I have been childminding for four and a half years and have cared for children aged 0-9 years old. Some have been with me throughout the day and others just before and after school.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My fees are as follows:
Set day rate - £53
Before school drop off - £8
After school pick up - £18
I provide free childcare for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds. My rate for additional non-funded hours for those children will be £7 an hour.
I also take childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare.

Rachel has looked after my girls many times over the years. Rachel is one of the kindest , most wonderful, loveliest lady I've ever met. Thank you for all the times you have looked after my girls. you are the best.

Rachel is a fantastic childminder. She is kind, authentic, open operating with high trust, integrity and expertise. She is passionate about what she does and genuinely cares about the happiness and wellbeing of the children in her care. We were so very lucky to find Rachel and couldn't have hoped for a better childminder for our son who adores her and is so comfortable in her home. He is also a big fan of her dinners! We would have no hesitation in recommending Rachel.

I can’t believe how lucky we’ve been to find Rachel, I was really nervous about finding a childminder for our son but He’s so happy going to her.
Her home is an amazing safe setting with a great outside play area. He loves all the activities and games she comes up with and he has loved the days out they’ve been on in the holidays.
Our son has had some regression this year starting school, a new sibling and all the lockdowns etc. Rachel has gone above and beyond to help. She has so much knowledge and a desire to help him at her setting, Her patience and understanding has no limits.
He couldn’t be happier anywhere else.

My daughter has been going to Rachel for 5 months now and loves her time there. I was slightly worried how she'd be after spending the first 9 months of life in lockdown, but she has settled amazingly well.
The activities are always well planned, and Rachel caters really well for ages. My daughter enjoys spending time with other children, especially ones bigger than her. She's already very sociable. Rachel ensures that she plans anything around her needs (as well as all the other children) and will also check and notify us first of any outings. Hopefully Rachel will continue to look after my daughter for a long time 🙂

Rachel is a brilliant childminder. My daughter settled quickly when she started going before and after school.
She provides a home away from home feel with excellent choices of things for each age group to do, along with a varied menu each week for dinners.
My daughter has spent full days with Rachel over the holidays and loves every minute. She takes the time to organise fun days out, taking the children’s likes and requests into consideration, going above and beyond.
We receive a selection of pictures, all showing one happy child. I couldn’t be happier with the care she provides.

My little boy went to Rachel's setting 2 days a week for almost a year.
Rachel has a lovely, immaculately clean setting with good outside space and a play room full of toys and activities. Rachel takes the children out to parks, farms, playgroups, soft play etc. most days. She comes up with great ideas of different places to go and things to do to keep the children engaged and entertained. She sends us a daily selection of pictures and our son always looks like he is having a blast.
She is extremely organised and professional with a daily diary of what the children have been up to including key handover information. Rachel shares a pre-planned menu of healthy, child friendly meals with parents and is always willing to accommodate special requests. Her communication is excellent, giving us plenty of notice for holidays etc, She has also been extremely flexible, occasionally having our older daughter in the school holidays when she can.
But most important of all, Rachel is friendly, caring, kind, bubbly, energetic and always has a smile on her face. She is extremely supportive of each child's needs from potty training, to supporting with difficult drop offs, to nap schedules to managing behaviour and always makes time to discuss any issues with the parents and looks for ways to help.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her setting.

Rachel is an excellent childminder who is warm, friendly and has a lovely setting. Right from day one, my son settled in so well and quite often didn’t want to come home!
Rachel provides a great variety of activities for the children in her care, is very flexible and is always smiling. I am always kept updated throughout the day with pictures, as well as being updated on my son’s development with a diary.
I would highly recommend Rachel for anybody considering a childminder. I am so happy to have found such a great childminder and a lovely person.
