About Us
Mighty Oaks Day Nursery & Preschool is conveniently located within the Bournemouth University Sports Campus, Chapel Gate, and near Bournemouth Airport, between Christchurch and Ferndown.
We provide excellent opportunities for the children to connect to nature and the outside environment in all weathers and all year round within our 65 acres of beautiful woodland where we ensure the children fully explore our fields, woodlands and facilities offered by Bournemouth University, including a play area with a climbing frame and slide and Astroturf pitches for improving physical development.
Our open-plan classroom offers the children mixed age group interaction, independent play and real-life experiences. We offer free-flow on to our beautiful outside balcony area with a sandpit, water play, mark-making and construction.
Because of our bespoke setup and location, we are able to offer the very best of the Early Years Foundation Stage and take inspiration from Forest School teaching and incorporate them both into one setting.
By offering an environment that others can only dream of, we are able to provide our children with a secure, happy and stimulating environment managed by a dedicated, motivated, experienced and highly qualified Early Years trained team.

Our Fees
- Childcare from £29.00 per morning
- Childcare from £27.00 per afternoon
- Childcare from £49.00 per day
Private Childcare from:
- £29.00 per morning
- £27.00 per afternoon
- £49.00 per day
- £40.00 per school session
Registration fee of £25.00 and Refundable Deposit of £75.00 payable by all private registrations (includes children who are funded but also have additional private sessions).
£75 Deposit is refundable providing all fees have been paid and 4 weeks’ written notice is given of a child leaving the setting.
Our Early Education Funded Sessions are:
Full Day 8am – 6pm
Morning 8am – 1pm
Afternoon 1pm – 6pm
School Day 8am – 3.30pm
An Additional Services fee of £1.18 per hour is applied to all 3-5 year early education funded sessions. This fee includes snack, Lightbulb Classes etc. We offer a limited number of fully funded sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis during the sessions of 3pm-6pm.
Our other prices are:
Breakfast £1.25
Snack 75p each
Hot Lunch £3.25
Tea £2.25
