Always goes above and beyond!

My son Max was with Alex for just over 3 years from the age of 1 up until he started reception this September. Since day 1 Alex has been absolutely amazing and has been a constant source of support as we have navigated Max's early years. Alex and her team provide a home away from home and I always knew that Max was in the best of hands while he was there. She truly cares about the children and goes above and beyond with arranging activities and extra special touches for birthdays/Christmas etc. She has an absolutely incredible garden full of toys for the children, and the front garden is always beautifully and thoughtfully decorated depending on the season. It is truly a child's dream! Alex is also extremely organised and I was always amazed by her memory for details and the way she manages her schedule. She is also very flexible, reliable, responsive and never makes you feel like something is too much trouble. She truly is the best childminder out there and I can't recommend her enough! We are so sad to have said goodbye now that Max has started reception, she really became part of our family and had a huge impact on Max's early years. Thank you Alex for all your support over these last few years!

Absolute Best

Alex has been my childminder now for about 2 years now and she is the absolute best childminder that anyone could ask for. She is so supportive and considerate. My children love her and her staff so much. She is very helpful, reliable and trustworthy. And when I say she goes above and beyond I truly mean she goes the extra mile. Thank you Alex for your continued support, I really don’t know what I would do without you.

Supportive, caring and flexible

Alex has looked after our two sons for 2.5 years since they were 5 and 1 respectively. Since their first day they have been happy going to her house and always enjoy their time with her and her team. We are expecting number 3 and my first thought was to check that Alex would be happy to have them once the time comes!! We have also recommended her to several friends in the area who also now send their children to her.

She seems to like and enjoy children of all ages - from the very little babies to the rumbunctious older children. She is kind and caring and also supportive of the ups and downs of parenting.

Her setting is well arranged for the children and especially in the summer they spend loads of time out in the garden which is wonderful for them.

She is extremely flexible and has helped us out around shift work on numerous occasions. She was also very helpful in getting the children settled at school and preschool.

I would not hesitate to recommend Alex as a childminder for anyone - it is a great home from home environment!

Like family

Not only does Alex provide excellent childcare, I would say she provides exceptional ‘adultcare’ too! We can’t imagine how we’d have got through this crazy phase of family and work life if we hadn’t met Alex. She is supportive, flexible, calm, incredibly generous and caring… the list could go on. The kids love it there and have flourished in the home from home setting. She is a real gem, we’re so glad we found her.

Outstanding service provided for past 4 years!!

I have been using Alex’s service for the past four years since I had a change in career. She has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. My son settled in straight away. She is caring and loving towards the children whilst remaining professional. She has been very understanding of my situation and has been flexible and has accommodated my needs every single time. She has a safe and spacious environment for the children and allows them to do a variety of activities. Alex is always on time for school drop off and pick up and not once have we had any issues. I highly recommend alex services to anyone else and I will continue to use her services until my son is of age to not need childcare whilst I am at work .

Part of the family!

We have been sending our little boy to Alex for nearly a year now and she has helped him settle in so well. He has developed amazingly in eating and play and he loves spending the day with her!

She's so helpful and thoughtful, we see her as an extension to our family.

Part of the family

We started sending my first child to Alex in August of 2020. Being a first time mother, during a global pandemic, far away from my family brings lots of challenges and anxiety. My daughter had not had a lot of interaction with people because of quarantines and lock downs, but she settled in with Alex very quickly. When we would go on holiday, my daughter would see things and say "Alex would like that" or talk about missing her friends. When I was pregnant with my second daughter, Alex was one of the first to find out as I wanted to make sure we would be able to send her as well! Due to some family challenges, my second daughter had to start at 8 months instead of 11 like I had planned. Alex was kind enough to take her in, and - sure enough - my daughter settled in within a day.

Beyond being a great childminder who my kids love, Alex has become part of the family. When I am questioning a cold, sleep patterns, outbursts, etc, Alex is there to help talk me through it and assure me "this is normal" or "maybe call the GP". She opens her doors and her heart to these kids and it is a huge reassurance to me that my kids are in such a loving setting.

Best second mummy my son ever had

Absolutely love this woman. From day one she has been the top number one support for myself and my son. Alex goes above and beyond expectations. She is without a shadow if doubt my saving grace and amazing woman. Deserves all the credit. Not only as a childminder but as a friend and provides good advice to new parents.

My son loves Alex to bits and she is so genuine it's not about money for her it's from the heart. X

Home Away from Home

We chose Alex to be our daughter's childminder because we could see how at home the children under her care were. Our daughter has attended Alex's from the age of about 10 - 20 months and we are only leaving because of a planned move to the coast. In the time she has been there we have seen our daughter grow into an independent, social and focused little individual. Alex and her assistants have supported and encouraged her every step of the way, from walking to talking, and all in between. It was important to us that our daughter be somewhere that wasn't a big jump from being at home with family. Whilst we know that Alex works very hard to provide opportunities to learn and develop, she also allows the kids to be kids and do everything at their own pace and to their own unique schedules. Alex has been a dream; being very understanding and flexible when we've been less than ideal (late) clients; and always communicating well with us. We couldn't have had a better experience handing our child over into someone else's care for the first time!
