About Me

I have worked as a self-employed childminder in the Bayswater area since 2004. Our setting strives to provide a high standard of care while catering for the individual needs of the child and helping to develop their personal interests and skills. We aim to encourage a child's imagination and interests and provide a fun and interactive environment for children to learn through play. Great emphasis is placed on creative activities and the children use a variety of resources to create artwork based around our seasonal topics. A favourite part of the day is taking part in outdoor play in the spacious garden practicing physical skills such as climbing, sliding and ball games and exploring and investigating the natural world.
We regularly attend a local drop in group where the children have the opportunity to take part in drama and music workshops. We also have a music teacher who comes one a week to the setting to sing and play guitar for the children. Children are provided with healthy, nutritious home cooked meals and snacks and I have been awarded a 5-star food hygiene rating.
I have completed extensive training in child protection, paediatric first aid; health and safety; child behaviour; EYFS and the stages of child development. I have also completed Montessori training which has helped me to learn simple and effective methods to promote learning and development. My daughter currently works with me as an assistant, Alia is an arts graduate so helps to plan lots of exciting creative projects and also has experience with working with special needs.
My setting has been awarded a Healthy Early Years London Bronze award.
Our priority is that a child’s individuality, background and culture is respected and parents’ wishes are adhered to whenever possible.
