**Availability as of April 2025- I have one space for 18months-4 years on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. Due to the school children getting older i also have room before/after school every day**

My name is Grace & I live with my husband, Tom, our two daughters (who are both in school full time) and our baby son. We live in Ilkeston on the Shipley View estate and we have a small dog - Holly (who the children love fussing over!)
I'm available for drop offs & collection from Charlotte Infant & Nursery School and Granby Junior School ONLY.
We have a large garden with a range of outdoor toys, we also live near to the nature reserve and often venture out to explore. I would usually attend a couple of local toddler groups each week including a trip to the library and market, but these have obviously been cancelled due to Covid. Children have access to arts and crafts, messy play and lots and lots of free flow activities.
I am also actively promoting the curiosity approach and loose parts play. We are slowly replacing all single use resources with natural, imagination inspiring resources. It's been fascinating watching the children create a million different games out of the simplest of every day objects!
I'm registered with Derbyshire County Council to deliver the 9 month+, 2, 3 & 4 year old funding and I am a member of PACEY.
My Experience
I am a qualified Level 3 nursery nurse and have worked in nurseries almost consistently since leaving school in 2008, aside from two maternity breaks and a gap when we moved to Ilkeston when I went to work in home care, due to a lack of childcare positions in the area. I really missed working with children though, so that is when we decided I should set my own business up so that I could go back to doing what I love. I've been childminding for almost 7 years now and I couldn't imagine doing anything else!

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
£5 per hour between 7.30am-5.30pm.
£42.50 for a full day 7.30-5.30pm.
I accept all forms of government childcare schemes including funded hours, tax free childcare, universal credit and childcare vouchers :)
I can be flexible with my start & finish times depending on family needs. I understand that some workers can need to be at work for 7am so will need an earlier drop off time, and that some don't finish until 5pm so will need chance to get to their childcare to collect their children, so it can all be negotiable.
As a family we have had to try and juggle shift work around childcare, often with my husband & I just being passing ships in the hallway for weeks on end! So I understand how difficult it can really be. My start & finishing times are just a guide, I will do my best to help.
BABYSITTING FEES
Dependant on hours, times and location, Please enquire for a price. I can’t always accommodate babysitting as I have three children of my own but if my husband is home I can try to help.

My child thoroughly enjoys going round to Grace's and always has a brilliant time there. Grace is very welcoming and friendly. Everytime I pick my child up she is informative and she will take the time to tell you about their day. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

I would like to thank this lady for looking after my little boy I was so scared to leave him with anybody but I couldn’t ask for a better person to look after him. He always comes home happy and tells me what’s he’s been up to always does fun things and she’s such a lovely lady always there if you need her and always answers your questions. Couldn’t recommend this child minder anymore she is amazing.
