About Me
I am a 45 year old mum of 3, with free time to help other families with their childcare needs. Upon finishing a clinical psychology degree at university, I have just taken on a role as a Children’s Mental Health Practitioner with the NHS. However, I am available for morning drop offs, ad-hoc evening babysitting and some days during the school holidays. I am a fun, energetic, kind and caring person who is passionate about caring/working with children and their families.
My Experience
I have been working with children within the education sector for over 20 years and have also supported looked after children within the social care sector; therefore, have a wealth of experience and background knowledge when it comes to caring for children and young people. I am extremely passionate about supporting the emotional, physical, mental health and well-being of children and feel strongly about enhancing perceptions around this in order for young people to become emotionally literate, therefore, enabling young people to thrive later in life.
My Qualifications
I have various childcare qualifications ranging from an NVQ 3 in Health and Social care to a Diploma in working with traumatised children. I have just completed a degree in Clinical Psychology, and I am currently undertaking a PG Dip in children's mental health. Within my roles, I receive regular safeguarding training, as well as paediatric first aid and therapeutic play training for children. Also, I am a qualified Mental Health First Aider, and therefore, have an understanding in children’s emotional well-being and the impact this can have on their development.
My Availability
I am available for ad-hoc babysitting, morning drop offs, school holidays and/or light household duties that fits around my own family/work commitments. Please feel free to message me your childcare requirements and I will try to accommodate your family’s needs.
